Fixture List?

The next action I will see will be September 2021.

Missing Goldington Road. Sadly I still believe Capacity will be limited to 1,000 through the 21/22 season.
The older I get, the more the RFU leave me confused.

Assuming we do play, I will buy a season ticket for the live streaming of the matches.

My point is if there is no fixture list, clubs can’t prepare properly. Although the season will be the most pointless one yet. It they also had a fixture list they could at least start generating some income now selling online packages.

Thank you for sharing this. Fixtures are the least of clubs concerns at present - we know who are in our conferences. However we all need to get to the start line. Watch this space!

Not sure we do know who will actually be in the conferences. Given the content of the Ampthill statement regarding no grants surely it would be no surprise if some of the other clubs decided they could not afford to play. With no relegation why would you spend money you do not have on a meaningless season?

Well posted mate. There is unlikely to be any spare money going towards the Championship in the near future so real supporters need to follow your example and support teams financially by buying season tickets, paying to watch streamed games even if there is a alternative match on Sky or BT and any other imaginative way clubs come up with to see them over this period. It may go against the grain to pay more than we have done in the past for so little rugby on offer today but if we don't there may be nothing to look forward to.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

I renewed my season ticket at the end of the last, truncated, season, with no real confidence that 20/21 would actually happen.
I still have no idea if I will be able to use my ticket this season,  but have my doubts.
Streaming is not for me - but I suppose if that's all that is on offer...

I did not think streaming would be for me either but i paid my money and watched the Knights vs Ealing game yesterday. Have to say the quality of the streaming was very good - plenty of camera angles, good replays, and a pretty decent commentary. I would do it again.

I get that, but, it's just not the same is it?
If that's all that's on offer I think I'd rather wait until September (and yes, I realise that doesn't help the club's bottom line).

Thought champs clubs met end of last week and decision was due, sadly doesnt look like any champs rugby this season, especially when you read the Ampthill statement?
Mind you heres hoping this pandemic is being got on top of by next season, as September looking less and less likely also, unless things change radically.  Sad times for so many.

Got to be more than 5 hasn't it?

Saracens, Ealing and Doncaster clearly ready to play.
Richmond confirmation is above
Coventry have just done the same
Pirates confirmed yesterday they will be ready for 6th March, as did Nottingham
Have to assume that the Bedford announcement of 12 players from Northampton yesterday is a positive sign of intent.
I think it would be surprise if Jersey didn't confirm from their signings and activity todate
Clearly Ampthill concerned.
Which leaves London Scottish and Hartpury that I couldn't find anything from ..... yet

5 team league as in two conferences maybe?
It was going to be 6, two clubs not taking part?!

London Scottish decide not to take part in the current GKIPA season - https://www.londonscottish.com/london-scottish-decline-dcms-loans-to-play-1st-xv/

Sensible approach from a financial perspective. Not sure why other teams wouldn't do the same under current circumstances Confused

Totally agree. We all want to see rugby but not at any cost.

Perhaps being an 'outsider' I don't understand the full story, but what's in it for any club apart from Saracens? It seems like a bill for £200k++ (judging by costs of testing/players off furlough/travel etc) that can be paid off over 10 years.

Presumably some help has come from Sport England. I can't see that the club would take part if they thought it would not be financially viable.
The Pirates statement says: "Following a lengthy application and negotiation process with Sport England, Cornish Pirates are delighted to report that we will be taking our place in the Championship 2020/21 season, due to start on 6th March 2021."
