Well the season is nearly upon us and as ever we have the pre-season games to get us all in the mood.

The mood enhancers or a very quick return back to the tactical board starts tomorrow for Sedge with a very short trip South down the M6.

The Park Lane games normally KO at 14-30 but these times might change and for those interested I will confirm later

06-08-22 Sandbach RUFC away
13-08-22 Llandudno RFC Home
20-08-22 Currie Chieftains RFC Home

So who’s got who in NL2N pre-season?

All the best

Roth put in a creditable performance at Sale FC losing 21-12 in a 3 x 25 mins run out. 3 tries to 2.

Bedford away next week. Great memories of my numerous visits there.

Dorking made the long trip to Stourbridge on Saturday (13th) winning 38-26 in a pre-season run out.

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

Leicester Lions do something this weekend that they've not done for a few years.......................they head North up to Otley for a pre-season game. According to Otley it's a 2 pm kick off and it's free entry to their ground.

Unfortunately Otley have called off the game with Leicester Lions, due to the pitch condition.

With regret Otley have had to cancel this game (minuscule rain - pitch too hard). Was looking forward to meeting up again. Cry Tears don't count as rain!

06-08-22 Sandbach RUFC v Sedge Won
13-08-22 Sedge 35- 27 Llandudno RFC
20-08-22 Sedge 17 - 12 Currie Chieftains RFC

Three good games for Sedges pre-season. A real hard game last weekend under terrific heat followed by a very good game today and excellent workout for both outfits.

No major injuries so that’s a big tick. So onwards to the first game of the season. Otley at Park Lane.

I can’t wait. Have a great weekend all

All the best
