Also this week, National League Rugby were informed by Harrogate that they could not honour their meeting with Rothertham Titans (April 16th). Accordingly, National League have declared the game a home walkover. Following these outcomes, we can confirm the National Two North table will be adjusted and it means Hull (1st) and Rotherham Titans (2nd) are separated by nine points with three matches remaining in their respective seasons. |

.I too do not know the true reasons for the cancellation but additional sanctions need to be applied. Sure enough it was nailed on for Rotherham to gain the 5 points but in these challenged times the loss of a home game is financially disastrous

I thought the unusual decision to have a full fixture list on Easter Saturday may have caused Harrogate to not have enough players, however I have just seen on their website that the reason is a number of front row injuries meaning they cannot field a team with the requisite number of props/hookers

My understanding is that there IS a "further sanction" - a 5 point deduction for the team unable to fulfill the fixture and, more importantly, carried over to next season as it clearly would have no effect if applied now. Whilst this is the case throughout the community game (through an RFU directive) I cannot tell you if it applies to the NCA clubs - anyone able to help?
