Ampthill currently playing Saracens and took the lead after three minutes with a converted try wide out. I hoped the ref would blow for time then, or even the floodlights failed. But no. But after 22 minutes it is 7-7.

The Bombay Bad Boy has a 50 p supplement so is generally now reserved for big games or for the top table at pre match lunches

Let's hope you use all the flavours in your Championship run with the Bombay Bad Boy as an occasional surprise. Good fortune in the coming season, let's hope you keep the National One Old Boys record of playing in the Championship. Happy Hunting for the Krug warriors.

Caldy's last two pre season games at 1st xv level have been against Premiership side Sale Sharks and National 1 side Sale FC. The aggregate score in these two matches against the Sale combo was 57-57.
Last week Premiership Sharks blitzed Caldy 5-40 and this week Caldy were the victors 47-12 against Sale FC. The Wirral side will be satisfied with their last two outings . When the Sharks came to Paton Field Caldy were undercooked and their 3,000+ supporters had to watch as Sale Sharks racked up 3 converted tries in the first 15 minutes. Caldy's cause wasn't helped by the absence of 3 of their most powerful forwards and the jet lag of their skipper JJ Dickinson but gradually they adapted to the pace of the game and sent their fans away happy with a try by mercurial full back Rhys Hayes in the final minutes. Yesterday's match against Sale FC was a mirror image of the previous encounter. Playing an all court game Caldy powered to a 47 point lead before Sale FC pulled back a couple of consolation tries. 2nd row Sam Dickinson started the scoring, the evergreen speedster Nick Royle recorded a hat trick, centre 'Irish' Mike Cartmill picked up a couple of scores and Ethan Cane weighed in with another. There are a couple of weeks for the Wirral side to work on their game, sand down the seating area and stock up on Pot Noodles before the visit of Hartpury Edited by Big Eddie - 28 Aug 2022 at 09:21 |

On holiday presently but the twitter feed seems to have alluded to error strewn and lots of penalties cannot comment on the quality of play though. But the scoreboard looks awful

FT Reds 29 Irish 31
Visitors led 1-4 on tries at one stage (5-24) but were pegged back to 17-24 at the break and then in closing stage Reds pounded at the line with a series of scrums. There were 2 yellow cards in this period, numerous penalties and one PT, but claims for a 2nd penalty try fell on deaf ears with Ryan Hutler then scoring out wide and the tricky last-kick conversion going just wide. Decent contest tho' with 10 tries evenly split...
