A great signing โ€“ he is a great addition to your squad.

Mowden have brought in Harry Yates, a centre who previously played for Harrogate and, like several other new arrivals, Northumbria University.

Absolutely have to agree Seals is a fantastic signing, I would say he should be first choice championship level at least. I also have to wish him the best of luck

Sounds like we have got a good fly half in Warren Seals. Thanks for the input and comments. Sincere apologies for the Morden gaff. Sorry.

Looking forward to our match ups with DMP again.

Have a good pre-season fellas.

All the best

Mowden's recently-retired full-back Chris McTurk is also a sports teacher at Barnard Castle, so I'm guessing those signings were partly influenced by a couple of former DMP players. It's like the link with Northumbria University through their head coach head coach, Joe Cain, who is also DMP's forwards coach.

It's therefore not really a surprise there are so many Northumbria Uni and Barnard Castle alumni signing to play National 1 rugby at Darlington.

I'm quite excited by the number of young players joining the Mowden ranks, guys who obviously impressed at BUCS, and will bring that enthusiasm and athleticism to semi-pro rugby in this league.

Matt Marsh ex Moseley more recently.  Seems to like having a ten-minute breather during games.

He came on as a sub against Rams and had a decent game today. Didn't score any tries but was twice taken out in the air, once leading to a yellow card, with the other strangely being ignored by the ref. Made one blistering break near the end

The match report is on the Live Match Updates thread.......

Thanks Fatbear. Missed most of the 2nd half of the RAMS game...no internet on train near Bristol. Unless I'm missing something there has been very low key publicity at the start of this season at Chinnor..match reports, signings etc...just found the Falcons result on the Dorking twitter feed. Perhaps all part of a cunning plan to fly under the radar.

Notice an Arden on the bench today for Chinnor. New signing? (a google search suggest Saints have an outside half with that surname).
