Not without a nearly miraculous comeback from the Blues at the end. 26-10 down with under 10 minutes to play and they were within a better bounce of a ball of getting the victory - although in truth for most of the game the Knights were clearly the better side and should have put it to bed way before the end. However, taking your eye off the ball against Bedford in any game is risky, and Donny almost paid the price.

I was at Pirates-Nottingham yesterday and I have to say the hospitality was magnificent. Met some lovely Pirates fans and the ground staff were really helpful and friendly too. Only issue was being grabbed by an intoxicated man at the gates of the ground while  waiting for a taxi, as a lone female on crutches that wasnโ€™t terribly pleasant. Think some had been enjoying the hospitality a little bit too muchโ€ฆ
Lovely experience, shame about the result. Whilst Pirates undoubtedly were the better team, they were extremely physical and there were a worrying amount of injuries, especially to our second and back row. No league game next week but we do have a friendly against the Army. Hopefully weโ€™ll have a team to fieldโ€ฆ

I believe so. Official word is that the game is on. Repairs ongoing but enough done to get the game on. Smile

News from Donny regarding Tom Doughty

As many of you saw yesterday at Castle Park, #2 ๐“๐จ๐ฆ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฒ had to be stretchered off the field within the first 2 minutes of the game against Bedford Blues.

After careful examination by doctors, Tom is doing well and will be back within the Doncaster Knights camp over the next few days.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and asked about Tomโ€™s health, and we as a club are more than delighted to announce that heโ€™s safe and well and will be rugby ready In no time ๐Ÿ‰โค๏ธ
