Well the short of it is we (WRFC) played well and Canterbury didn’t. The long of it is that I watched the excellent Canterbury RFC livestream for the second half. I understand from the commentator W had better ruck speed in the 1st half and managed to nullify C’a catch and drive, otherwise it was a tight half. What I saw in the second half was the more powerful C team failing to make the most of their physical superiority and the slightly more skilful W team taking their opportunity. C were winning with 5 minutes to go with a full team of 15, whilst W had two in the bin yet still managed to run a concerted attack with our winger scoring out wide after a few close quarter drives. The C went down the other end but lost two attacking line outs and that was the game done.
