I cant recall if Rhys ever turned out for Ealing before getting loaned to Cov.
Probably why he was keen to get away.

Two more Ealing signatures: Ehize Ehizode from Doncaster, and Geordie Irvine from Northampton (but via Blues, Cambridge, and Chinnor).

Did Doncaster sign Semesa Rokoduguni?

If he's still fit and fast that will be fun.

I guess you haven't announced Morgan Strong?
That's on Welsh Twitter as a done deal.

Geordie Irvine never really impressed in his games at Bedford.

Journalist normally covers Welsh Prem.

He doesn't offer a link.

signings and departures coming thick-and-fast at this time of year; inevitably some of them reach the ears of journos, sometimes before they are signed-and-sealed, or otherwise when the deal has been done but the clubs have yet to co-ordinate an announcement. Increasingly common these days for club A to announce a player's departure one day, and then club B to confirm that he's joined them the day after...

Yes very surprised about this one, when I saw him leaving Saints he was not a player I was hoping to sign for Blues. He is still young so could develop but in comparison to Newman who you took before, he is way off his standard.

I don't remember Irvine playing for Chinnor, although Ehizode did.......

Nottingham sign Matthew Arden from Northampton Saints. Not really a surprise as he’s been on loan to us for most of the season!

Notts are announcing a signing tomorrow and have posted clues on their social media. I’ve done a bit of research and my money is on Toby Venner.

Ealing sign George Shaw from Cardiff Met and Francis Moore from Saracens/Ampthill. Slightly puzzled by all of these signings of young players, as I would think Ealing would be bringing through players from their own academy, and I wonder if they will get much more playing time here than they did at their old clubs.

I believe this is it for Ealing signings for the year, as we have: Ben Harris (Sarries/GB 7s), Michael Stronge (Nottingham), Sean Lonsdale (Dragons), Tobi Wilson (Coventry), George Worboys(Bath/Chinnor), Sam Clark (Newcastle), Ehize Ehizode (Donny), Geordie Irvine (Northampton/Bedford), Francis Moore (Saracens/Ampthill), and George Shaw (Cardiff Met).

Interestingly, I was told 9 in, 23 out by someone very much 'in the know', but now appears to be 10 in. Some quality players, but not of the same calibre that we saw the last few years when the lowered salary cap left some amazing players without prem roles.

Doncaster Knights are pleased to announce that looshead prop Jasper McGuire will join the club for the 2024-25 season following his move from Saracens.
