The time in N1 was really good for Richmond. We’d lost a lot of stalwarts and had a lot of newcomers. We played some excellent teams and also some weaker ones. In the Championship there were no weak teams and in N1 we had the freedom to play more expansively. I’m hoping that this time we’ll do better. We had by far the best defence in N1 which I attribute to the Championship experience.
Looking forward to all those derby games. Commiserations to Rosslyn Park who could play really well but weren’t quite consistent enough.

Yorkshire being renamed Leeds? I would rather have the club named Headingley and Roundhay - or vice-versa. Just a thought.

Particularly when 'they' drop below West Leeds and lots of other Leeds sides?

The YRC should be seconded to Nat 2N, which will have no fewer than 7 White Rose participants next season...

With only one Yorkshire Club in the Championship and National League One next season, I'd love to see the 7 Yorkshire Clubs in Div 2N compete for this Trophy. With 7 Clubs it would keep interest throughout the season, and possibly not decided until the last round of games.

Perhaps they could use league results between these sides to form a mini-league for the Cup - the leaders could then host Donny at the end of the season for the cup final. That way you won't do a draw then find most teams concede the match. |

That's how it was done Raider, not a separate comp, just based on league games between the Yorkshire clubs.

Surely Doncaster win the Cup by default.
Headingley and Roundhay win the Plate assuming they complete the season And the rest can play for the shield. Even if it is not formally offered, those bragging rights will be important. |

Isleonian.
Where did you get the 'Yorkshire Regiment Cup' from? This is the first I have heard of it but as a former military man I would be interested in knowing more. |

Yes, we don't have a great record there admittedly - but I just like the ambience at the RAG.
