Some interesting results.

Leeds beating Hull I's away is a big statement.

I watched Roth against Lymm today, brilliant game. Roth look solid but Lymm were fantastic, they just lacked a little power in the pack which allowed Roth to dominate the scoreline, however Lymm had some really sharp backs, were well drilled and fought right to the end. They will cause some teams some problems this season!

Great game.

Come on Roth!

I did not see Leeds Tykes beating Hull Ionians. TBH I didn’t see anyone beating them except Titans. The biggest shock for me this time out is the performance of last seasons team of the season Otley. What’s happened. I know it’s early season but good grief. Great win for the Green machine today.

All the best

We played an excellent outfit and great club. No complaints here. I’m going to put a kiss of death on the Green machine again this week by marking them down for a home win against Fylde. Now that’s hard for a Lancastrian.😂😂

Take care matey

Sedge Tiger,

Neither did I, I thought it would be a close games between Hull I's and Leeds with Hull I's just edging it but Leeds have put down a big marker there away from home. Certainly makes things interesting. We have a tough November coming up facing Leeds, Hull and Hull I's so I think that will be a big tell for our season.

I know what you mean, I expected Otley to be strong again this year but there is a long way to go so they might pull it around.

We did sign (or resign) probably their best two front rowers in Luke Cole and Reece Ward who will have been hard to replace.

It is looking like it is going to be between Roth, Leeds and Hull I's for the title but it is very early days at the moment. Winter is coming which is always a tough period. I am very happy with what I have seen from Roth so far. Nat 2N is such a competitive and difficult league.

Unlucky today for Sedge against a strong Rams side, However what great start to your season.

Keep pushing on, great to see Sedge up there at the top of National 1!

Chris

We will all be together once again next season when the National One (North) changes are ratified.

Don’t write off our Lancastrian cousins Fylde. They too will have a huge say in the league this season.( even though their second XV were took apart by Sedge ‘The Mighty’  96-19 that’s a huge score in these  fixtures’

Back to the Kings of the North, Still think Titans and Is. But what do I know.

Good luck all

All the best

Do we know what the criteria are for inclusion in National One North and South?
Will National Two stay as three leagues?

Hi Sedge.

What changes are you referring to?
I could have been a contender.

ST,

You are not wrong, you can never rule out Fylde! Fantastic side and brill club.

Hard to say at the moment mate, we have a tough November to come. Last season we started strong but came unstuck over winter so only time will tell.

I do have to say though I very much enjoy Nat 2 North, loads of local and Yorkshire derbies. Shame we don't get to play Sedge this season but as you say, hopefully next year we will be battling it out again on the pitch.

Always loved Sedge away - also loved some of the great players we pinched off of you guys whilst we were in the champ WinkLOL big Louis McGowan and Chris Briers pop to mind! Did Peter Swatkins also play for you guys?

Have a great season my friend.

Chris

Agreed my friend. But we also benefited from Titans. The best a huge character, Great player but only coach at Sedge. Andy ‘Iron man’ Northey. Who would not allow anyone to say a bad word about the Mighty Roth. Great man and player. Peter Swatkins, a Rolls Royce of a player on a Ford Popular footing at Sedge .😂😂😂.

We also gave you big Dean Williams. I know he went to you from Macc but it was Sedge he came from. The best you didn’t stick with was Jonny Mathews (Hooker) now doing well at Glasgow. He is something else. Exceptional player.

We will miss the match ups this season. But as I said to RM2 we will be all together again next term if the reorganisation of National One (North and South) takes place.

Best of luck to all in National Two North .

All the best
