Great news rugby returning from March 29th. Hopefully clubs will be able to extend the season for those players who want to continue through until the end of May. Pre lockdown many clubs had adapted to their own version of ready4rugby and playing this is much improved on playing nothing. Unsure if after so long not training we should be looking at full contact , especially at a time when the pitches are getting very hard, but imagine there will be some appetite for that IF allowed by DCMS.

RFU cancelled the season for level 3 and below.

I suppose, some teams might organise local friendlies, but personally I would think most will wait for next season.

I saw some NL clubs in Yorkshire have sketched out a mini-tournament during the spring which I would hope might now be able to proceed as planned, and imagine other clubs might do the same. To me it feels important to get clubs/players/supporters etc 'back in the swing' if possible rather than just write off six more months and possibly exacerbate any drop-off in participation that's resulted from last 11.5 months...
