Thanks for that TP......though I confess that i had no great conviction that we would win, rather that we would compete well, have a decent record at the Haberden, and still carry decent attacking threat in our backs. A very pleasing outcome nevertheless

Well what a result for OA’s yesterday, didn’t see that one coming!!, even more surprising that we smashed them a few weeks ago 17-41!
We have Club at our place in a few weeks time, should be a cracking game and hopefully we can sneak the win?!!, alas I can’t make the trip up 😔 We have a mixed bag of results, should of beaten BSE in the first game of the season, two trys held up and a perfectly good try disallowed!! We lost to North Walsham, they got their first points of the season, if my memory serves me well, we have never won up there?!!! Early days, but it could be a close season, let’s hope so!!

I must Congratulate Canterbury RFC on their LIVE streaming delivery on saturday. For those of us who could not travel to the game or chose to stay at home and watch a top of the table clash for our 2's against Wimbledon 2's, the early kick off gave us the opportunity to have an armchair view of the Live streamed show at 3pm. We were all very impressed with the quality, close ups, different angles, zoom, etc etc and it matched ANY SKY OUTSIDE BROADCAST. And what a game of two halves it proved to be. All Canterbury in the first and all Dorking in the 2nd. A real physical battle with heroic defence by both sides. To win the game on the final play after Dorking had been camped on Canterbury's line for what seemed an eternity was a little harsh I guess, and possibly a draw would have been fairer. But we will take the win and well played both teams.
I think the Live Streaming was provided by MMS360? who I believe are sponsors of Canterbury. Excellent quality and very impressive. I feel sure that other clubs will witness this in the future, however I was told that it is quite expensive to deliver. The end result is that our bar takings were significantly boosted for a 2's home game which cant be a bad thing. I would like to hear from any Canterbury poster on this.

I’ve watched a few of the streams back as they’re kept available for a while after, I agree the quality and professionalism is outstanding and it’s good to see more innovation at national league level to sell the product in the best light possible.
On the flip side, part of me is not sure it’s great for Saturday afternoon fixtures. Agree not everyone can always travel but I can’t help feel it encourages would be supporters to stay home on the warm and watch the game than go to the grounds and buy a programme, beer etc and add to the atmosphere for the players. You’ll never strike a balance but a great service none the less.
