Very interesting. DMP pulled right into it, so have to beat Esher at home. Rams losing to Sale also means they have to beat Esher away. Going to the wire.

Easy to say at the back end of the season but if Esher had played like they did today all year, we wouldn’t be in the relegation mix.
A very thorough performance against a big and capable BS squad 👏👏👏

Moseley, DMP, Esher and Taunton still in the mix for last relegation spot, while all to play for with Rams, Sale and Cambridge vying for top spot. Exciting end to season.

Yes - very exciting. Could even come down to pts diff if Rams 'n' Cams win out...

I went to the Sale v Rams game. Rams have only themselves to blame for their loss. Too many mistakes against a tough and doughty Sale side who could have been blown away in the first half. 20 minutes in and Rams looked likely winners but a lack of discipline and nervous handling errors and wrong options mean't that 2 or 3 scores went begging and Sale capitalised.
This just might be Sale's year.

Chinnor ensured National League One rugby for next season with a home win over Hull. Attached is a report on the game for anyone interested

Tiebreakers are most wins, followed by most draws, and only them points difference followed by points for. Cambridge and Rams can reach 114 points, Sale 113. Cambridge's draw with Leeds could be crucial - but only if they get all 15 points - as both Cambridge and Rams would have 22 wins. If Cambridge and Ram's both drop a point, Sale's extra win could see them through. All to play for. Edited, originally said 26 wins, which is obviously silly in a 26-week season.

I knew about the 'most draws' reg, but had temporarily overlooked it. So 15pts for Cambs guarantees it? Their pts diff is the best (by just 4) and should be boosted when they play Hull in next game, but at 1st glance I can't see a scenario in which pts diff would decide it...

But Plymouth away and Moseley even at home are not easy games. Even Hull will be desperate for a home win. As has been said, whoever wins this season will be worthy winners. The other two will be unfortunate. |

How about a 14 league Championship with one relegation and 3 promoted. Wasps can go jump and more up from Level 4 who look unbalanced or very close.

Would love a 14 team Champ. Bring it on. Sadly though, the RFU won't be sending Wasps anywhere else, and LS would then likely kick up a stink about being relegated, so it really is a bu99er's muddle.

So the last thing we heard, back in December was Plan A was Wasps find some fool to give them money to burn, and plan B was to try to run a semi-professional outfit. Though Mr Scott used the word investor. Still no word of any such fools, or sponsors, or a DoR and coaching team, or a ground, or players. Are we sure they will be able to play next season? Will the RFU leave it until the last minute, as they did with Old Elthamians? |

There are certain elements among the Wasps supporters who are still holding onto a potential return to the CBSA.
Lol. I'm sure Frasers will let them back on a No Win, No Fee basis.

IIRC Rotherham were the team sacrificed from N1 after finishing third bottom with N1 continuing with 15 teams. As I've said before, I bet Rotherham would have loved to stay in N1 if offered the chance. I do hope Taunton/Esher don't suffer the same fate!
