Well the stats don’t say that in 25 games they lost 7 and drew 2. I wouldn’t say that is the mark of a team playing a division lower

Yes agreed that their playing record wouldn't suggest they were a championship level squad, however I believe they have a proportion of player that are easily solid championship players. This year's National one might've been one of the most competitive ever, seeing the quality the likes of Rosslyn Park & Richmond possessed. It could be said that there was no semi-pro opportunities for London based rugby players in London last season, and such they had to play National 1.

The Chinnor players who had Premiership or Championship experience were possibly moving towards the end of their careers and looking for a final pay day, or perhaps a they wanted to "Fast track their lives" to quote Mr Williams Wink
