I may be wrong but I think medical teams have to report concussions now. Our head coach raised the point of risk to tacklers while all the initial research was going on but like most things with the RFU it didn’t fit their agenda so wasn’t followed up

National League Clubs can join the CRISP programme which monitors all injuries but this season is looking specifically at head injuries.

Fairly sure that is why the original trial was abandoned as too many tackler's heads contacting knees etc of ball carrier. |
