Yes, a pity. It should be ok for English clubs, with 4 of England's 6N games in later slots on a Saturday (& the other on a Sunday) giving the chance to incorporate the match into a good day. I had a great day at my home (Surrey 2) club on Saturday - lunch for 40ish, an excellent live match with a tidy crowd (for that level) of 120ish and then back to the bar to watch France v Ireland. We had to forego Wales v Scotland, but that wasn't exactly exactly a hardship; unfortunately the lure of the sofa + some rare terrestrial rugby seems to be stronger than ever for many people...

There’s nothing like the open air. Wonderful match at the RAG. Mond playing running rugby and getting better all the time. Donny also played a part.

Wishful thinking! Bedfords' average attendance for the 1998–1999 Allied Dunbar Premiership was only 3,361

24 years ago... the sport has become alot more popular since then.

Level 10 to get over 100, is incredible. Hats off to the administration at that club.

So for those of you interested the statistics are (by my reckoning) - 80 yards (give or take a yard or two in a straight line), 19 phases, 41 passes and 3 minutes of continued phase play (possession) with no infringements. That is quite some tally.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else, in the league, has managed something along those lines. Factoring in the time, and the need for the score to take the win, they were under some considerable pressure.
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

It was a remarkable achievement. I was hoping they’d drop the ball but all credit to Donny, they held their nerve. Spectacular game .

It took two very good teams to make that game what it was, I knew Richmond were on a rich vein of form prior to that game but to witness it in person was fantastic. I think my nerves were jangling that much for those last three minutes that I didn't know what to do with myself and unlike you Pappashanga I was praying they didn't drop the ball Wink

That is desperately sad news. I was just thinking about him this morning and wondering how he was doing.
I know that many of the Reds players were shaken up by the incident as were those listening on the radio.
Thoughts, love and prayers are with his family and friends.
Tackle Low!!!!!
