Full squad announcement from Coventry

That is quite a lot of players leaving, wonder where Hutler is going

I have read rumours about Hutler and Hitchc-o-c-k next destination on the Cov message board…
And it would surprise very few.

It is a lot.
However, I feel the only real losses will be Kvesic (it was inevitable he'd go), Hinkley, Nkwocha, and Nairau.
Oh, and Robson - but that was almost a given as we lose a Very Good Fullback or two every season.

Not as bad a list as had been led to believe. Back rowers will certainly be at the top of our shopping list this year given we’ve lost all of them apart from Tuilagi. Also need a right winger having lost both of ours.

Luke Frost is the biggest loss for me. Says he’s moving to London for work reasons. If he ends up back at Scottish or Richmond, they’ve got themselves a hell of player.

Worley off to Hong Kong in lead up to World Cup. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back in a couple of years. Matavesi previously confirmed to France with his brother. It’s not a well kept secret that Garside, along with brother Jake, is joining Worcester.

Most of the others have had long term injuries and are possibly retiring? Shame about Cam King, who was brilliant last year. Not heard anything about where Joe Howard is going, he’s the most likely to end up at a prem team out of those. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s going back to Gloucester, unless he’s another Worcester recruit.

We always lose players at the end of the season and although I would have liked to have kept a number on the list, the good news is that it therefore appears we have kept the others.

Elliott and Tapley haven’t been seen all season, so not surprised they are retiring (I imagine).

Arthur never lived up to the hype in my opinion.

Garside and Worley are very quick, but Blues never struggle to find decent backs/wingers. Although, I would have liked to keep both.

I thought King would go, as Blues have a history of releasing injury prone players, although was great the previous season.

Howard is a loss and I think may therefore go to Worcester. I have had mixed feelings about Frost although always put his body on the line and was versatile, but isn’t a ball carrier.

We usually play as many of the players leaving in the final home match of the season.

If you don’t think Luke Frost is a quality player, then you don’t know ball.

Scrum was de-powered when he was in the 2nd row and isn’t dynamic enough at 6. Rare he wins turnovers, but is a nuisance who always gets stuck in with a high work rate. I think we can find better.

Apparently Blues are having a couple of Saints players on season long loans (who have been playing for Blues this season) in addition to the 6 DR’s.

Worcester signs Lloyd Williams from Ealing. 35 year old scrum half. He was good last year, but it felt like he had really lost a step to Father Time this year.

Bedford re-sign all time club and league record try scorer Dean Adamson.

I assume everybody not on the leavers list is retained but we will drip feed the announcements over the next few weeks.
