Whether you agreed with it or not, the announcement earlier about next season’s 14-team Champ at least seemed to bring some certainty. But in reality, with the creditor position such a long way from settled, it’s all still up in the air. You wonder what deadline, if any, has been imposed by the RFU & what realistic power they have to hold WW to acct. If push came to shove, would they be prepared to replace WW with another club to make 14? Or reduce to 13? Or just carry on & turn a blind eye? All as clear as mud with perhaps 10ish weeks until next season’s fixtures are due out…

I suspect the RFU will give Worcester until the start of the season to settle the rugby debts, and if these are not cleared by then there will be a points deduction rather excluded Worcester and leave clubs with blank weekends.

Worcester are already causing ripples around the league with their recruitment offering players top money to move.

I see Warriors have started annoucing their squad, with a huge amount of top level experience already. Fraser Balmain must have over 200 Premiership appearances alone. Tim Anstee is a quality player from Australia too.

So far I can only see Kvesic (Cov) and Williams (Ealing) leaving their current Championship sides but I might have missed some of the signings.

The Balmain signing is, I think, speculation; a couple of weeks ago it was Nick Schonert who was the high profile tight-head signature.

They're certainly going for experience. Must be averaging well over thirty (age-wise) so far.

It certainly looks that way, but I'd imagine they'll be bringing in some younger/academy level players too.
