Great player, dangerous in red zone lineouts, sorry to see him go but I xan understand his desire to progress

I remember him from his first incarnation at Nottingham; he was with us for 6 years from his days at Trent University. He’s always been prolific and it was great to see how well he did at Cambridge. It will be good to have him back

It is therefore unknown over Kerry!

Next week we should get our new signings and I already know of a few of them, which Blues fans will be very happy with!

Was hoping we would have had some news by now

I’m disappointed we haven’t announced at least one new player!
Everybody must be on holiday 🏖️

Could be worse Carlton Lad.

Scottish keeping us as in the dark as they normally do. Based on the contract extensions announced so far we have a squad of 7 for next year.

No news on the other 21 contracted players, no new signings, no list of leavers (though they never do the latter and we have to read between the lines)

Well we only have 15 players so a merger seems the best option.
Bedford Scottish has a ring to it !

Had been heavily rumoured but delighted it’s confirmed. For me, was the best wing in the league during his first stint and outshone Adamson on the other wing. Always scored against us for Cov. Sad to lose both Worley and Garside but Hutler is an upgrade imo.

The press release also mentioned other familiar faces returning this week. The only one I can think of that makes any sense is Louis Grimoldby.

It isn’t Grimoldby he is returning to another of his former clubs. I won’t say the name but the returning player is an upgrade on Frost.

Ealing confirmed their re-signed players - but this doesn't include players already under long term contracts. I think that includes Craig Willis, but I don't have a definitive list.

  • Adam Nicol
  • Angus Kernohan
  • Biyi Alo
  • Bobby de Wee
  • Cameron Terry
  • Craig Hampson
  • Dan Jones
  • Danny Cutmore
  • David Bridge
  • Elliot Chilvers
  • Francis Moore
  • George Davis
  • Jordy Reid
  • Josh Taylor
  • Kyle Whyte
  • Lefty Zigiriadis
  • Matt Cornish
  • Michael Stronge
  • Mike Willemse
  • Reuben Bird-Tulloch
  • Rob Farrar
  • Tom Collins
  • Will Montgomery

The following players transition from the academy to full-time rugby/part-time studies:

  • Darren Low
  • Geordie Gwynn
  • Loic Keasey

Great to see Hutler back, class player.
Hopefully Thursday and Friday we’ll get another couple of additions.

As George Worboys was announced as joining for 2024/25 when he signed for Ealing, does this mean he is now leaving Trailfinders ?

It appears that Cambridge are clearing out a lot of the old guard for next season. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to try and turn their fortunes around, especially with relegation returning next season.
