The Scarborough reference was just to get a bite from BRB.
It’s the volunteer coaches at other clubs who are unhappy with the way players they have developed are being tapped. Not something new of course.

Wouldn’t rule out Scarborough either BRB - give lads a chance to play in a proper stadium, apparently.
So where is the money coming from now A lad travelling from Scarborough would want some considerable expenses plus match fee
Said ‘lad’ must be looking to further career development with the voluntary previous and now reappointed coaching staff
Let’s support the volunteer staff at not only DMP but all clubs and if they are bringing in talent and developing that talent it should be supported.

Not at only a playing level but coaching referring groundskeeping and throughout

I dont think any team should fear losing players who are wishing to move on. There are a number of ex DMP players at Billingham, Tynedale, Consett, Blaydon and even Barnard Castle who would certainly consider getting back into the DMP fold under Danny and Newts, and many more younger players throughout the regions who's game will improve under these guys.

I believe the arena has been an anchor and hopefully it will soon be a thing of the past for DMP

Don't think Billingham have anything to fear. From one of the most competitive seasons in national league history.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good rumour, the coaches are Danny Brown, John Newton (Both allready at DMP) and Neil and Richie Young who are ex players, Simon is working locally as a pharmacist, nothing sinister there for people to chew about!!

So the club that had to scrimp, borrow and shed a load  of players to finish the season has appointed 4 coaches  and now announced the signing of Simon Uzokwe.

I wouldn't underestimate the quality in Nat 2N, it is a very difficult league to escape. Some very hard away games, teams out of form can turn you over on home turf. To be honest we (roth) really enjoyed our time there, lots of local derbies and lots of away games that are accessible.

Best of luck to DMP I am sure they will be back, just in a bit of a tough period that they will overcome.

Onwards and upwards DMP great club!

Look to be trying to stabilise things quickly which is positive.

Good luck to DMP, personally I hope that they can come back up fighting. I've never been sure about the Arena as a venue for a Nat 1 club, but I do believe that having a top rugby club in the NE (aside from Falcons) is a good thing for rugby in England.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Given all of the rumours and speculation you would think they will come out with some kind of statement to clarify everything.

National 2 N will be a big step down in standard, but don't underestimate the passions involved.
A huge credit to those players that facilitated DMP completing their fixtures. They should be very proud.

A shame you won't be playing elsewhere as I have never enjoyed visiting the Arena, but good luck for the coming season. The dream of Pro rugby in Darlington is dead, but in the long term that is a good thing for DMP

Based on the Facebook post about the New Era in National 2 North, with the club based at the Darlington Arena, it doesn’t look like those rumours are true and the next season will be in the same location as this previous one.

I’m sad that our run in National 1 has come to an end but look forward to entertaining rugby with more local derbies and being able to attend away matches in N2N.

Good luck to all the clubs playing in National 1 next season and I hope we’ll be back in this league soon.

Announcement happening in the next few days I believe, slightly different from what was initially proposed but will still result in DMP not playing at the arena next season.
