Is there not coach parking in the car park of the country park (Jeez, how many parks? Embarrassed) down the road past the cricket club?
Genuinely can't remember.

Tend to agree with Ted.
When heading SW (from here in Hinckley) I always avoid the M42 through Solihull. We always do the M69, A46 Cov Eastern Bypass,  A45 Cov Bypass, A46 Kenilworth/Warwick Bypass and on past S on A and on to the M5 either at Wuss  (or Tewkesbury if going further SW).
From Cambridge, turn left off the M6 at Cov (A46 south).

FHLH, a “D” in O level geography then? And you can stress the West in West Midlands. The city is 30 miles from Wales at the nearest point.

For travel (and I hope you do) I’d strongly suggest that after the obvious A14/M6 towards Coventry that you take A46 across to M40/M42. At all costs avoid the stretch of the M42 that runs past Bham airport.

Or some would say stay on the A46 and go via Stratford-upon-Avon, but not through the town obviously. For some reason or other, they seem to have tourists.

I have relatives just south of Bedford and have much experience of heading that way.

I'd forgotten that Worcester is West Midlands not West Country.
Mea culpa.

Regarding:
Doncaster - go to match but travel a pain
Not really from Sixways M42, A42,M1 north, M18 north (junction 3 or 4). By rail into Birmingham New Street straight to Doncaster then buses every 15 minutes to very near the ground, Helicopter just seek permission to land on the back pitches 😉

Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

[QUOTE=CAM1923]It’s only 2 hours or so from Sixways to Cambridge Rugby TT & we’ll be looking forward to welcoming you and hopefully a large number of your fellow Warriors supporters when you make your first (& potentially last!) visit to Grantchester Road. I for one think you will push Ealing all the way with the squad Warriors have now assembled. A great weekend away in the fabulous city of Worcester will also be on the cards and that will be the first date I will look for when the fixtures are announced next week. Enjoy your visit to Ampthill on the 13th which will be a real “eye opener” for most Warriors supporters with the walk from the clubhouse through the wood to the 1st XV pitch being a classic Champ Rugby experience![/QUOTE

I haven't parked at Sixways since I hung up me boots.
A couple of friends park their cars on my drive on match days  and we all walk down a footpath, through the nature reserve, then follow the canal to the ground.
A woodland walk is the norm.Smile

Good to have some positivity on the board with regards to Worcester Warriors and what they'll contribute to the league, both home and away.

As to travel, how many grounds are reasonably accessible for a day trip rather than a weekend away?

Ealing - go to match
Richmond ?
Cambridge?
Ampthill?
Bedford - go to match but travel a pain
Nottingham?
Doncaster - go to match but travel a pain
Caldy - too far
London Scottish?
Cornish Pirates?
Hartpury - local
Coventry - go to match
Chinnor ?
Richmond very easy London Scottish very hard to find

Re. Wuss away travel. The first 58 seater coach for the pre-season friendly at Ampthill sold out within 24 hours, and the second is filling up.

There is a massive amount of interest in and around Worcester, clearly this will settle in time. The negative and abusive poster or two who insist that Wuss will not have a positive affect on Champ attendances will no doubt find some way to throw scorn on all of this.

The numbers will be a matter of record in due course.

The Go To games are to prove a point and will be very watchable

According to AA Route Planner, Sixways to Chinnor should take 1 hour 25 via the M40, so should be one of the more easier journeys for the Worcester supporters....

If you can get to Ealing, youbcan get to the RAG for Scottish and Richmond. 20 minute drive in reasonable traffic.

The Defaulters Administrator paid approximately £10 million in June 2023, leaving an outstanding £6 million rugby debts to DCMS for COVID loans that they will still have to pay back. I’m sure the RFU will have the potential to “shift” their rules to accommodate them getting out of those debts as well.

No aspirations towards promotion. Just happy to watch Rugby.

We've got a couple of supporters coaches off to Ampthill for our friendly  so the Sixways faithful are showing classic withdrawal symptoms.
Expect us everywhere.
I'd travel to Doncaster just for the pies.

I have no issue with Worcester supporters. As I said, it's great for you to have your club back.
