Well it was great to be back at I's today watching a cracking game of open rugby.  Was good to catch up with many of the old and infirm from Stour, but Sid appeared to be hiding from his usual vantage point?

Thought I's were fast and cutting some great lines in H1 (a clear RL coaching influence obvious there) but then took their foot of the pedal and conceded a few too many pens in H2 and Stour came right back into it.

As I say a most enjoyable afternoon and even got a bit too much sun on my forehead!  Now back to the business of the Easter weekend Clap

I sent Mrs O to find you after the match. Would have been nice to catch up. Hope you are well.

SID, happy Easter. I have awoken very concerned about you. No leaning on the balcony yesterday, no quoting of the law book, no comments aloud on the officials. Have you like wine and cheese mellowed now or is it down to the high office you hold at the club? Seriously missed catching up. Next time I will seek you out.

A lovely,  lovely day at Wharfedale yesterday.  2 sides playing some entertaining and full blooded rugby.

A great atmosphere,  big crowd,  lovely beer and food, welcoming bar, toilets on hand, could use cash, no stamping of the hand and so many things that made the experience what it should be and what we have come to expect at every ground in this great league.........and many light years away from the utter dross of a venue that we encountered at Loughborough last week.

Yesterday just reminded me why I love rugby and following home and away, and also why the Loughborough venue is fine for BUCS rugby, but not fit for purpose in the National leagues.

Well if things pan out as planned you won't have to go there as they will be heading South West. On the other hand I was at Otley last week which I'm sure as fellow Yorkshire men you will find very quaint but I honestly thought I'd gone back in time 50 years. Falling to pieces all over but full of history
(North v NZ 1979)!!

A happy Easter to you EC. I expect you are busy this morning.
Don't worry about me, I am still commenting, when required, on the competence of the officials and the players.
I thought Miss O'Donnell did well yesterday. She contibuted to a good game. You are no doubt grooming, sorry, I mean coaching her.
I am, as always, at a loss regarding what we should expect from the Assistant refs but, we can't have everything.
Sorry to be losing Clubs like Stour & Lucs. Always enjoy their company.
Give it a few years and some jobs worth at Twickers might rearrange the league's again!
All the best.

I remember when the Students first joined the Leicestershire County Cup to try and get into the old John Player Cup competition, back in the 1970's when Clive Woodward was playing for them. There was a lot of resentment then, no-one liked their involvement.

Greenpower - that makes sense as it doesn't look as though any money has been spent on the facilities for many a year. A car park for more than 30 vehicles would be nice too!

No one's celebrated a victory at Cross Green this season though. Congratulations on promotion. One game to go!
What if the Hokey Kokey really IS what it's all about?

Otley is a great visit. Don’t go to the ground straight away,  walk down the high street as there are some great pubs and the banter. Pure Yorkshire!!!

Anyway I’m biased as  I am a proud part of the Sedgley‘ Yorkshire Mafia’ (Otley Branch)😂😂😂😂.

Congratulations to both Otley and Hoppers. Great season fellas looking forward to you both next season.

All the best

And even less who have heard of Hull Ionians RUFC, 12 miles to the west of Hull.
