Here is my blinkered biased view on todays match v Barnes

Firstly it takes quiet a lot for me to be confused by the officials but today was really bizzare in some of the decisions that they came up with but luckily it didn’t influence the result. Biggest praise goes to the forwards coach and the forwards who had done their homework which nullified the Barnes line out and other than once when they scored it offered Barnes no platform and it was disrupted most of time and once sir had the little shimmy or sideway step at the set pointed out and went to the other side it made the scrums pretty even although I think in terms of scrum penalties Club we’re well rewarded as the slightly dominant pack. It was a pretty tight affair but I never felt we would lose and the two late tries gave the score a nice bit of gloss. Although only scoring 1 try Barnes did come close a couple of other times but either knocked on or passed forward with the line at their mercy and on another day they may have stuck. Club were pretty clinical and all 5 tries coming via the back division we are playing some nice expansive rugby and it seems we finally have a consistent kicker, 12/14 last week and 5/6 today two absolute crackers from the touchlines on either side of the field. A decent day at the office and have opened up the gap at the top a little more.

Trip to the seaside next week to end the first half of the season
