Coming to this a bit late (I lost my login details for about 6 months) absolutely not, unless you mean by 'profile' that the site knows who we are - though as has been noted that brings up GDPR and ICO implications.

Some people on here know who I am and vice versa, but there are all sorts of privacy reasons for not having the world know that John Smith from Moseley posted at 1425, and what he posted.

I can't think of another forum on any serious scale (outside facebook, and even they have private groups) that lets everyone with google know who is posting what.

I'm not counting twitter, because that's the wild west, and I post things on here that I wouldn't post on there, precisely because of the anonymity. Think of anyone with more connection to a club than 'just' a fan. We can discuss things here without repercussions, and most people do play nicely. Would be a shame to lose that. I'd still read the site, but any post I made would be completely anodyne. 'we played well the opposition were great, well done to Sir and the touch judges' week after week after week.

Relax BE, you're taking this waaaaay too seriously; of all the sinister organisations out there trying to clone your credit cards, steal your ID, hack your accounts, make off with your data etc etc, a long-established but avowedly small-time rugby chat forum probably should not be your biggest concern... Hug

I expect everyone knows this, but I have only just seen that NCA have created a platform "National league rugby review show'. ncarugby.com  Subscription is £15 per season to access all. Looks very good. Just saying.
