Really poor. Worse at short notice. I would support a greater punishment for defaulting teams in this scenario, if they are seen to get away with it & just get zero points, when points do not affect them, it sets up a defaulters’ charter. You bet teams wouldn’t cancel if they were at home… & will no doubt pull together a squad if they’re at home next w/e…

I have posted comments on the Nat2 North forum where first Huddersfield, a few weeks ago, then Harrogate this weekend have failed to fulfill a fixture. Elsewhere in the pyramid there is a 5 point deduction as punishment, such deduction to be applied next season as there would be nil effect if given now. Does this apply in Nat1 and 2 or does NCA have its own regs outside what was issued in February as an RFU directive? Doesn't make up for lost revenue in any way but should make it less likely to occur

I have no idea, however it would be a good thing. I was hoping Camquin would comment as he seems to have a good understanding of the competition rules.

Although the non-offending team gets 5 points they do not get any score added so a game that could have been +50 on the points difference doesn't even attract a 28-0 win as it does in other competitions. It won't have a bearing this season, however it could possibly have had.
