Ealing 5 - 0 CP - Ealing really need this win and keep their dream alive . . but I expect CP to throw everything at this . . . is will be an epic. Is it live streamed?
Richmond 4 - 1 Coventry . . . warm fast conditions, an emotional day for Mark Bright who has astounded everyone who thought his time was done!!! A win for Richmond will show how far they have progressed this season. Coventry will also be up for this with players playing for new contracts . . could be close.

Ealing 2 - 2 Cornish Pirates (a bruising clash and me praying I get this prediction right)
Richmond 5 - 2 Coventry big scoring match

Ealing 1 - 4 Cornish Pirates. Probably heart over head - but Pirates certainly have a chance.
Richmond 4 - 1 Coventry

Predictions:
Ealing 1 v 4 Cornish Pirates - all the pressure is on Ealing. Pirates can go there with nothing to lose and throw everything at it. If the Cornishmen can survive the probable quick start I think they can win this. In their last two games at home Ealing haven’t performed, that will be nagging away in their heads. The longer the game is tight, the more it suits the visitors. Pirates are normally very hard to put away…..
Richmond 5 v 2 Coventry - Richmond have had a great season and for their last home game they will want to put on a show, I think they will do that but I think it will be a “free-spirited” affair with defences on the beach. Bonus points all round and plenty of pints in the bar afterwards.

It looks like Saturday’s weather will present a perfect open running rugby opportunity. I also predict crazy end of season scores. So:

Ealing 5-1 Pirates
Richmond 5-2 Coventry

But what do I know!

Richmond 5-1 Coventry
Ealing 2-5 Pirates

Mond 5-2 Cov Both teams to put on an attacking show on a gorgeous day at the RAG
Trailfinders 3-3 Pirates Could go either way as neither side need a bonus point win so a day for 8 man rugby and a subs bench full of forwards.

Ealing 5 - 1 Cornish Pirates - I know that Ealing's last two home matches have been disappointing, but they were missing some key player who should be back. Pirates are always tough, but if Ealing want any claim to getting promoted, now is the time to earn it.
Richmond 4 - 1 Coventry - Richmond at home are an incredibly tough out.

Date Posted: 23 Mar 2022 at 18:50
Ealing 4 - 1 Pirates …. Tight and nervy, so much at stake, but it will be totally absorbing. Best of luck to both sides.
Richmond 5 - 2 Coventry … I expect this to be a very entertaining, end of season game. Barbarian type rugby with Mond to Nick it

Ealing 0 - 4 C Pirates - Pirates to take the glory against the Ealing Machine.
Richmond 5 - 2 Coventry - As Brizzer says - "Barbarian" from both sides on a sunny day at the RAG

starting XV  for Ealing vs. Pirates tomorrow at 1500. No changes to the starting 15 that played very well against Ampthill. Makes sense to me. The bench split is a little bit odd as I only spot one second row and two hookers. Would have liked to have seen Will Davis if he is healthy, but I'm confident that this side can get the job done tomorrow.

Cov side: 15 Louis Brown; 14 Rob Knox; 13 Andy Forsyth; 12 Will Owen; 11 Tom Stanton; 10 Evan Mitchell; 09 Josh Barton; 01 Toby Trinder, 02 Suva Ma’asi, 03 Matt Johnson, 04 James Tyas, 05 Adam Peters, 06 Tom Ball, 07 Josh Bainbridge, 08 Ryan Burrows (C).

16 Harry Clayton, 17 Luc Jeannot, 18 Jake Bridges, 19 Fred Betteridge, 20 Louis James, 21 Dan Babos, 22 Tony Fenner, 23 James Martin.

Nayalo out (with Army), which is a big loss. Poole still out, with Clayton (Academy) in as rep hooker. Johnson back from concussion at tighthead, with Jeannot moving to bench, and Trinder back from injury on the loose side. Fenner back from illness, on bench, with Academy player Mitchell retaining the starting out-half role. Apart from Fenner, that's a very young bench.

Edit: And another Academy player, Tom Ball, coming in at six to replace Nayalo.

Is there any radio commentary of the Ealing-Pirates match? The BBC commentary schedule lists Mond v Cov but no mention of the game at Vallis Way. I hope there is an experienced match official team for that one.

Sounded like a really tough game for Pirates. Always a challenge when you get blown apart in the first half hour!
Congrats to Ealing, promotion is all but inevitable now.
Been a hell of a season for this young Pirates squad. Hope we can round off the season with an exciting game next weekend.

Back at the laptop, I have to say that Ealing were magnificent in the first half today. Craig Hampson in particular was a magician, and except for the bizarre score at the end of the half, everything Ealing touched turned to gold, with the scrum being dominant. In the second half, into the wind, Ealing made a few changes and Pirates made it a much more even contest. Ealing did get particularly sloppy on the final score that gave Pirates the try bonus point, with the Pirates player easily slicing through a thin defensive line. However, it is worth mentioning that none of Ealing's tries were from rolling mauls, and all came from relatively open play - probably the most attractive, exciting rugby that I've seen from Ealing in a couple of years. The lads just need to avoid a final banana skin, and triumph over the RFU/PRL in court.

Congratulations to Ealing, sounds like they really stepped it up when they needed it. Assuming you get the job done next week, i hope you beat the cartel in the courts. Good luck.

Congrats to Ealing - too good on the day.
Very proud of the relatively small (in number) and young Pirates squad - a great achievement to come so close to winning this league. Maybe we just didn't have quite enough depth in the squad and got injuries to a few key players recently (three centres, back rower, and hooker). Two of the injured were captain Nico De Batista and his successor as captain John Stevens - missed their leadership I think.
Let's hope Ealing win their legal battle and take their deserved place in the Premiership.

Just a quick clarification please Kimbo.
I wasn't at Richmond today, but am I right in thinking that Coventry won away at Richmond 28-40, and Richmond did not win 40-28?

If so that does mean that all the 5 point Richmond predictions are wrong, whatever people expected, and whatever the repeated reversed scores posted here suggest.

But as most predicted a high scoring game, which it was. Well done Cov for finding your mojo, a bit to late this season. Perhaps you will have a good cup run.

Unless they have a very poor game get beaten, no points and we sneak a good win at Nottingham
