Ealing Trailfinders to face Caldy: Good squad, but you can tell that even with Ealing's squad size, we are seeing holes due to injuries. Speaking of injuries, very happy to see Will Montgomery back in the squad after being in a walking boot last time I saw him. I'm unsure if David Bridge or Danny Cutmore is actually starting at 4, as there is contradictory information posted.

1. Lefty Zigiriadis
2. Mike Willemse (c)

As far as I can tell, none of our Saints loan players are in the Saints squad - they are just not available.

At least Bedford do not have a future Lion playing this time - Pollock is playing for Saints.

I have a feeling Cambridge aren’t allowed to use Saints players when they play Bedford as part of the agreement we have with them. Same goes for Nottingham, e.g. I’m pretty sure Matt Arden didn’t play against us last year when he was on loan with them.

For Blues fans trying to get to Cambridge. National Highways have decided this is the best week to close the main road to get there! Probably best to take the old road rather than the diversion.

HT Cambridge (2 tries) 15-26 (BP) Blues

The score is probably reflective of the half, although Blues scored in extra time. Cambridge have looked decent in attack.

Blues play with a wind 2nd half.

Caldy 7 Ealing 34 - 68' barring a miracle for Caldy, that should be the league. Ealing also go over 1000 points on the season. Would be a cracking day for Ealing Rugby club as the 1871 amateurs and the Brunel academy won their Papa Johns Cup divisions as well.

Congrats to Ealing , winning the league Clap

We were only 0 - 12 down at half-time and we scored a great try
Ealing were much more on their game in 2nd half

It must have been the youngest set of backs that Caldy have ever fielded , but Ealing's defence was totally professional

Congrats to Nick Royle, too  His 250 appearance  for Caldy   Thanks Nick

Following up Kimbo's posts, the 5 tries scored by David Opoku-Fordjour set a new Coventry club league record of the number scored in one match.
Previously 4 shared by five players going back originally to 1998/99 Smile

An entertaining game today between Chinnor and London Scottish which could have gone either way, but ultimately the game management by Scottish in the closing stages in keeping possession proved to be vital.

I read this morning that Roma Zheng had been released by Harlequins, but on today's performance he will probably be in demand, and presumably Scottish will secure him for next season ?

Although it probably didn't effect the result, the referee lost control in the final 20 minutes or so as the game became very bad tempered, and Scottish lock Wilkinson was very lucky to stay on the pitch after the touch judge bottled reporting a blatant act of foul play ( which happened right in front of me, and the touch judge )

Here is the detailed report for anyone interested :

Having read a few of your blogs FB, good and detailed but less referee bashing would be even better.

I may be wrong but I think that was Hartpury’s first loss at home.

Blues just need 2 points now from Chinnor (h) and Caldy (a) for 2nd.

4 clubs could come 3rd, it is so close and there isn’t a huge amount between all of the top 6.
