Went up to Glasgow on Saturday to watch 4 Hull Ionians players plus a host of other National league players represent the Barbarians v Glasgow Academicals. Great weather, great host club and a massive honour for all of the National League players who were involved. BaaBaa's won 78-31.

That sounds good. I know a few Champ and Nat League players were in the Barbarians side against Durham University a couple of weeks ago.

Is it a new thing for semi pro players to play for them? I remember the old games at Twickenham where you would have ex-Internarionals making up the side, always good days out.

No it depends on the opposition and every so often it comes down to level3/4

That's right Rabbie,
Talking to the BaaBaa's officials on Saturday, they explained that selection very much depends on the level being played by the opposition.
Still, a great honour and those lads selected now have their names on a very illustrious list of players.

On Saturday, one of your Blackheath lads played and after the match he took photos of his boots on the pitch. When asked why, he said it was his last game. Great way to go out.

That will be our newly appointed head coach who is retiring from playing now. That completed a clean sweep for him of county, England counties & now Barbarians (same for our other representative but he is not retiring) I hope
