I want you all to line up in a circle and pair up in three's alphabetically by height.

Very disappointed to see how quickly this forum embraced the ridiculous name change. As if changing the name of the league is going to make any difference whatsoever.

I remember when we all thought The Championship was a stupid rebrand. I'm surprised it's not Premiership II (a hark back to the good old days circa 1997-99) but it is what it is. People have been referring to it as the Champ in their posts for years, so personally I don't think it makes any difference. As Greg says, changing the name doesn't make any difference, so why get upset when some people choose to use the new name? It's the Emperor's New Allianz...

For me either The Championship or Premiership II.

You should have to put the word rugby in the title so if they are intended of keeping it the Champ without rugby.

A more appropriate name would be Excluded League 1.

Excluded from promotion, excluded from all clubs participating in the Premiership Cup!

Poll options seem a bit biased. So, must be designed by the RFU.

What about "Thirteen Clubs and a Franchise" ?  It sounds a bit like a Hugh Grant film...

Allied Dunbar was bought by Zurich in 1998, who continued sponsoring the Prem under their own name until 2005.

Personally I applaud the innovation in the second tier, in my opinion there is a lot to look forward to, for me at least, the name is of little concern.
