We might have equally "frazzled" memories TB, you omitted to mention our giant slaying wins over  Luctonians in 2018/2019, both home and away,  (Newport 15 - Lucs 13 and Lucs 22 - Newport 32)

I note that you have not yet shown us your guesses for this week ....Wink

BELIEVE!!

We are definitely taking nothing for granted with our visit to The Old Showground on Saturday. Fully expect another close result and an extremely competitive game.

Even trickier than last week!?!?
Burton v Bromsgrove AWAY
Doncaster Phoenix v Broadstreet AWAY
Kettering v Bridgnorth AWAY
Newport v Bournville HOME With the league title all but won the focus will now be on for Bourns to complete an undefeated season - seldom achieved at any level. Of their remaining fixtures this one, together with Sandbach away, looks to be where they might, and it's a big MIGHT, slip up
If Newport are at their best and Bourns are already sampling the champagne and a bit off colour, a stroke of luck or a refereeing decision goes our way it might just happen. I, like the players, have to BELIEVE
Paviors v Sandbach AWAY
Sheffield v Nuneaton HOME

This weeks guesses

Burton v Bromsgrove AW Bromsgrove on form at present Burton appear to play better away from home
Doncaster Phoenix v Broadstreet HW Perhaps a little against the grain but Phoenix have only lost marginally against the top sides at home.
Kettering v Bridgnorth AW Kettering really struggling now, 'North should win
Newport (Salop) v Bournville HW Another top of the table game, Salopians on a roll at present, wonder how the weather will affect the game. Tough one to call. Going with Thatbloke and OFTD & BELIEVE Wink
Paviors v Sandbach AW Another game which is difficult to call. Going to go with the enigmatic 'Bach.
Sheffield v Nuneaton HW Going with a home in the vain hope that Nuns ae going to go back to type.

We'll have to find some other form of entertainment tomorrow:

CIRCULATED TO ALL CLUB CHAIRMEN AND HON SECRETARIES

On behalf of Paul Kaminiski, please see urgent message for your immediate attention:

Dear Colleagues,

I have checked the local weather forecasts for this coming Saturday (15th Feb) in all 4 corners of the Midlands (SKiwifruithorpe, Luton, Malvern and Whitchurch). It is apparent that, across the length and breadth of the Midlands, playing and travel will be problematic, if not dangerous on Saturday. Wind speeds of up to 60mph and general heavy rain are the order of the afternoon. Gusts of wind may be even greater. It is therefore necessary, for the sake of all participants, to advise the postponement of all league matches within the Midlands. The only exceptions to this would be where clubs in any league match, believe that locally conditions will allow both travel and play to take place safely for players officials and spectators. My view (as of 2030 on Thursday) is that this is most unlikely. It is possible that, where circumstances allow and clubs mutually agree, some matches could be played on Friday evening. This is to be encouraged. With regard to Sunday, this looks to be no improvement upon Saturday.

League Secretaries are asked to contact all their clubs ASAP in order to update them and re-arrange postponed fixtures for the Next Available Saturday. Please also advise clubs to inform referees and other match officials.

Regards,

Paul Kaminski

Week 20 rearranged

This weeks fixtures
Newport (Salop) v Bournville Thursday night. Think this is at Avery fields if previous post is correct.

Broadstreet v Sheffield from Week 14 I think Thatbloke is sitting on a full house here.

Burton v Bromsgrove
Kettering v Bridgnorth
Paviors v Sandbach

Looking at the fixtures on RFU website the remaining 2 fixtures will be played on the Super Saturday week end. At which point I will bring week 20 up to date.
It may be better to predict for the Broadstreet game judging by the recent change of fortunes of both Broadstreet and Sheffield. Wink
