Well here is my guesses.
Nottingham 2 vs 5 Jersey - under the Friday Night Lights the Archers to make the Reds work for their supper
Caldy 4 vs 1 Cornish Pirates Caldy to cheer their home fans up
Hartpury 0 vs 5 Coventry Coventry buoyed by their thrashing of Donny run rampant
Doncaster 5 vs 1 London Scottish Bodes kicked the hair dryer in the dressing room, the boys but on a show for the home faithful
Richmond 4 vs 1 Ampthill A tight match but Richmond take the spoils
Ealing Trailfinders 5 vs 0 Bedford Blues - home Banker for Ealing, hoping Bedford don't let them have it all their own way

Nottingham 1 - 5 Jersey ... A different game this week for the Reds and will probably be more forwards based than it was against Richmond. Nottingham pushed Bedford all the way last week and I think that Nottingham will do the same this week, but will seek to move the ball wide rather than crash through the middle (Nottingham have always had a decent set of backs). A tough test for the team in second, but they should prevail (fingers crossed). Caldy 4 - 1 Cornish Pirates ... Caldy, you will love this fixture. One of my favourite home fixtures when the Cornish come to visit. Great fun on and off the field, but Pirates aren't quite firing this season and Caldy have a chance here. Hartpury 4 - 1 Coventry ... I can see this being a really tight game and one that Hartpury are more than capable of winning if they have their nomads available. Close, close game this one. Doncaster 5 - 0 London Scottish ... Business as usual to be resumed. Richmond 4 - 1 Ampthill ... What a great game this could prove to be. Battle royal up front, Mond to nick it, but only just. Ealing Trailfinders 5 - 2 Bedford Blues ... IF 9and it is a huge if) Bedford see plenty of the ball, I think that this could potentially be an upset. Ealing don't like teams running the ball at them, they would prefer an arm wrestle up front. You don't get that against Bedford. High scoring, entertaining game I think, but have gone for home win hoping that I am wrong!

Predictions: Nottingham 1 - 4 Jersey - Lady Bay on a Friday is never easy but Jersey have the winning habit this year and they will grind out a victory. Caldy 1 - 5 Cornish Pirates - Agree with Brizzer, Pirates at home is always an enjoyable fixture. The singing, passion and banter will be in full flow. On the pitch, I think the Cornishmen will have too much class for a plucky home team. Hartpury 4 - 1 Coventry - Whenever Cov have a big result at home they always seem to struggle in the away game the following week. I see the pattern repeating itself here. Doncaster 5 - 0 London Scottish - Donny will be embarrassed by what happened at Cov and they will absolutely fly out of the blocks. Scottish are in for a long afternoon. Richmond 4 - 1 Ampthill - A big game towards the foot of the table. Expect a forward orientated, low scoring game. Just expect Richmond to have enough to edge it. Ealing 5 - 2 Bedford - This should be an absolute beauty - Power v Pace. If the Bedford pack can provide their backs with a decent platform then Ealing will have a tough afternoon. Blues will run everything. Narrow home win for me with the bench proving decisive.
------------- Donny Knights - best team in Yorkshire

Blues beat Ealing at Ealing last year (19-31), so I am sure Ealing will be fired up for revenge. Our history there has generally been poor on a pitch that should in theory be good for us!

Nottingham 5 vs 2 Jersey- Why not? Caldy 4 vs 1 Cornish Pirates - Very winnable at Paton Field Hartpury 0 vs 5 Coventry - Cov building nicely . . Chudley has made all the difference Doncaster 5 vs 0 London Scottish - Knights hurting Richmond 1 vs 4 Ampthill - Either way . . just more quality at Amps Ealing Trailfinders 5 vs 1 Bedford Blues - Fast and furious . . should be a great watch.

Nottingham vs Jersey 4-1 - I'll live in hope on this one. Jersey have looked good, but not unbeatable, and this is a long trip. Caldy vs Cornish Pirates - 1-4 - Talk about long trips, here's another one. Pirates are extremely tough at home, but they aren't home. I think that they'll win by a point or two still, as I can't believe in a side that lost to Scottish. Hartpury vs Coventry 1-5 - Coventry have been a revelation this year, and added some great players in season. They should have plenty to get over Hartpury. Doncaster vs London Scottish 5-1 - Donny have struggled more than expected so far, but Scottish... Richmond vs Ampthill - 4-1 - Tasty battle. I'd flip this the other way in the reverse fixture. Ealing Trailfinders vs Bedford Blues 5-0 - Trailfinders have lots of injuries, but they have a ridiculously deep bench and should have the firepower to win at home, especially as revenge on the awful, awful performance last year.

Probably will all go down to the bench's. Burns is electric, so is Garside. That will be a great battle. Mind you the antics of trying to give the game away last Saturday put me in hospital with a heart rate of 180 so I'll not be making the trip unfortunately.

I predict Ealing will lose three or four of their remaining matches but should still top the league at the end of the season. Its a great league and thankfully its still competitive rather than a coronation procession. Its probably equally tight at the bottom for the R spot - every point is important.

Nottingham 0-4 Jersey. Close but feel that Jersey will edge this. Caldy 0-5 Pirates. Not a cricket score but I expect the Pirates to score 4 tries. Doncaster 5-0 L Scottish. I fear a drubbing. Hartpury 2-5 Coventry. Two good sides but I feel Coventry are the most in-form team right now. Ealing 5-0 Bedford. And so the machine grinds onwards. Richmond 1-4 Ampthill. This will be a hard game for the As but they are due a win.

I think they do Friday nights a lot because of Forest and City traditionally play Saturday.
Our frost sheets are allegedly good for up to -20C. The pitch is also very well drained so not a lot of moisture around to enable freezing.

Blues team for Ealing - great to have Nansen and Heffernan in the starting line up to add some physicality. Interestingly Grimoldby starts his first game of the season (barely seen him) instead of Maisey who has been great again this season. 3 of the 5 forward replacements though are weak.
Bedford Blues starting XV: 15. Matt Worley, 14. SeƔn French, 13. Ethan Grayson (S), 12. Michael Le Bourgeois, 11. Dean Adamson, 10. Louis Grimoldby, 9. Alex Day (C); 1. Joey Conway, 2. Jack Hughes, 3. Oisin Heffernan (S), 4. Brandon Nansen (S), 5. Jordan Onojaife, 6. Karl Wilkins (S), 7. Luke Frost, 8. Tui Uru Bedford Blues Replacements: 16. Callum Burns (S), 17. Monty Royston, 18. Osman Dimen, 19. Robin Williams, 20. Charles Rylands, 21. Jake Garside (S), 22. Will Maisey, 23. Pat Tapley

Ealing 35 (BP) - Bedford 17(2T) - 70'. Bedford score a nice breakaway try after 20 minutes of back and forth. Jack Grant(Ealing 9) appeared to break his arm.

A not impressive display again but we squeezed the points for a win.
Well done LS for making the game tight.

My first visit of the season to Donny. Gawd, it was poor rugby! LS were dogged and clearly up for it and without losing their discipline could/should have won. When LS down to 13 men late in game, why did Donny keep kicking possession away? Isn't that the time to attack with ball and stretch the opposition? Clueless, no direction. The Caldy pack will enjoy their visit on Boxing Day.....

We asked the same questions- why the kicking when there was every chance to take advantage of the gaps of being 2 men up.
I think the lads had their confidence knocked last week, winning ugly was what they needed to get back on track.

Just for you.
Pirates had the field position and were more clinical in the first half and probably should have been three scores ahead when the Pirates right wing got outside the Caldy defence and had a thirty metre unopposed sprint to the line. Where and how on the 25 minute mark a small snow plough in the form of Caldy hooker Ollie Hearn came to smash the winger into touch I do not know......it shouldn't have been possible. It changed the complexion of the game and although two tries in arrears belief came to Paton Field.
No 15 Elliott Gourlay, No 10 Ezra Hinchcliffe and No 12 Mike Cartmill all had their finest Championship games for Caldy and in Nick Royle the home side had a clinical finisher.
The second half was all Caldy. The Pirates could not escape the shackles Caldy had placed on the Pirates 22 metre prison and with most of the action concentrated down in Paton Field's "Ice Cold Corner" the Pirates lost resilience, momentum and suffered a slow snow suffused suffocation by Caldy's redoubtable pack.
Royle scored after a foot race to Ice Cold Corner and then after inumerable phases Cartmill scored near the posts to give Gourlay a relatively easy conversion. !5-14 ahead but 25 minutes to go. Pirates never achieved a prison break and any time they threatened to escape Caldy's stranglehold, Hinchcliffe just sent them back to Ice Cold Corner. An astute and gritty performance by the Ravers.
The only negative for Caldy was the red card for Adam Aigbokhae following a very accidental clash of heads with a Pirate's player who was competing with Nick Royle for a high ball. In making his leap Royle seemed to clatter into Aigbokhae who was in turn accidentally shunted into the Pirates player. No one seemed to be harmed by this fleeting incident other than Aigbokhae who was then red carded.
Bizarre and surely must be over turned.
A good day to be at Paton Field's winter wonder land stadium.

Interesting note - Jordan Onojaife of Bedford was yellow carded after the match for handbags. An honestly quite acrimonious affair at Vallis Way where tempers bouled over on several occasions.

I understand there will be a citing on Jordon Onojaife the yellow post game was for the aftermath on a very unsavoury incident. He also refused to walk through the players tunnel after the game.

I went to the game at Castle Park yesterday and Scottish can feel hard done by. I donāt think the ball was actually grounded for Donnyās winning try. Looked held up and I was at the right end looking straight at it. Donny made more handling errors in that game than the other home games this season combined. We were extremely fortunate to win the game. Poor game is very cold conditions.

Pirates also butchered a first half try by failing to gather a kick ahead on the line. In truth we were in control at half time, with the Caldy scrum under huge pressure. Changing both Caldy props made a big difference and Pirates were bereft of ideas in the face of increased intensity both on and off the pitch. Very many thanks to the volunteers who made the pitch playable (just!) after heavy snowfall. Also to the guys and gals in the frozen tundra of the car park who were very welcoming. Unfortunately the bar service in both clubhouse and marquee was incredibly slow and we couldnāt see any food provision, other than for the tweeded and bejewelled Wirral alickadoos in the marquee.

Jordan appears to have a real issue with Ealing. A few seasons ago he ripped Ealingās line out apart twice in a season and promptly got signed up for the following year. It didnāt work out. I donāt have an inside track but I heard rumours of personality clashes and training āissuesā. He returned to Bedford the following year but appears to have grown a significant chip since. Iāve no doubt the Ealing players were niggling away at him all afternoon (I know the crowd wereš) but he needs reminding that heās a better player than that.

Caldy's catering was hampers by the weather there is usually an outside catering van and three outside bars to provide the spectators with a good service. Unfortunately it was too cold and the snow prevented the van getting to the club. We have had bigger crowds than the 750 we had yesterday who have remarked positively on the speedy service.

Catching up with Champ w/e after things back here took an unexpected turn on Saturday...
Fair play to Caldy for getting the game on and an important win - looking at their results their losses are made up of margins of 2, 8, 9, 9, 11, 15 and 23, so they've competed well while only getting a lone win until now.

It was a traumatic week last week, there was also a nasty accident at sea and we lost 3 fishermen following a collision with the container ship coming from Guernsey, so all very sombre. But we will come together as a community and move on. Cheers mate.

I heard Rumours? Appears to have? Iāve no doubt? Are you Donald Trump by any chance? 910 is a crowd? I only heard a bunch of well oiled liggers just managing to chant Ealing, Ealing. From the hospitality posh seats. Blues have sold out Boxing Day v Ampthill, two weeks in advance - 5000 at Goldington Road is a crowd.
