Huddersfield 10 (0) Sedge 27 (4) FT

Tough old game at Lockward Park today as once again Sedge’s D was superb and it had to be as Huddersfield battered Sedge in the first half as they went down to 14 for a second time in a week. To finish that half ahead was significant. We hope the injury to Huddersfield lad is not as bad as it looked and we wish him a very speedy recovery.

Sedge second half was much better as the pack dominated proceedings setting up the Sedge’s backs who had more of a cutting edge than the home team. This time injuries to Sedge and wholesale changes stopped that flow as the tide swung ‘Fields’ way. They battered away gaining a try but that was it from a very tight well organised aggressive Tigers defence.

A third try at the end of the game for Sedge put the gloss on a tough but very good away day win.

Always great fun at Lockwood great day great game spoiled only by Waltzer 😂

Have a great night Huddersfield

All the best

ST, Where were you after the game? Obviously in the press box writing your one sided report!!
Seriously, not a bad game, but we need points when we have the possession and it all went awry In chasing the game at the end.
The injury to our player Is bad it would seem, and possibly career ending at his age. I’ll let you know. The broken thumb of our other player is just a minor injury!
See you again at your place.

One sided, I thought I was very generous to Field😂😂😂. A very tough game and good away points. Enough said. I had to get away sharpish my apologies for not meeting up again after the game but good to catch up before and during the game .

I have to say the news on your players injury takes the shine off everything and I really do hope it is not as bad as you suggest. All at Sedge wish him the very best

See you in the new year

All the Best

Stour reverted back to type this weekend after a promising start to the season. Solid up front but Silly errors in the backs and trying passes which weren’t on rather than playing percentage rugby. They weren’t helped by the referee but it’s about being flexible and playing the ref rather than keep trying the same things and expect different results. I think they will be challenging this year but they need to respect the ball and keep hold of it and play the phases. Joe Heatley is the most frustrating player I have ever watched. One minute you think why is he not playing in the championship and with the next phase you see why. Neil Mitchell must have been fuming.

Injury to Loz Sanderson one of our props is a ruptured Achilles, so I don't expact we'll see him playing again any time soon Unhappy
