Bournville v Newport (Salop) - HW - Bournville hard to beat anywhere at moment cannot see them losing on plastic fantastic
Bridgnorth v Kettering - HW - All North big guns returning
Broadstreet v Doncaster Phoenix - HW Street have come through tough early fixture list
Bromsgrove v Burton HW - but not 240-0, surprised at Burton form given summer activity
Nuneaton v Sheffield - HW Two well organised and drilled sides
Sandbach v Paviors -  HW - Two more in mix behind Bournville
South Leicester v Peterborough Lions - AW - light relief for both but Lions to get 5 points,  SL down to 12 last week, may be no fixture

Get 'em in early this week

Bournville v Newport (Salop) HW on current form. Salopians just gone off the boil.
Bridgnorth v Kettering HW 'North as above
Broadstreet v Doncaster Phoenix HW 'Street as line one
Bromsgrove v Burton HW 'Grove as line one
Nuneaton v Sheffield AW Nuns mixed bag, Sheffield form is better
Sandbach v Paviors HW 'Bach always difficult to beat at home.
South Leicester v Peterborough Lions AW. Lions just marginally better on current form. If either side can get a team out.

Bournville v Newport HOME Newport's new look line up not yet firing on all cylinders and I fear this match may have come a bit too soon
Bridgnorth v Kettering HOME Comfortable
Broadstreet v Doncaster Phoenix HOME Closer
Bromsgrove v Burton HOME Comfortable
Nuneaton v Sheffield AWAY Tight maybe only the one score between them
Sandbach v Paviors HOME Ditto
South Leicester v Peterborough Lions AWAY At least one of these sides will be able to pick up their first points of a horrendous season. Both must already be looking at the teams they will face in Mids1(East) next season?

Well not a lot to chose this week. The biggest upset really being Doncaster Phoenix winning at Broadstreet and only one predictor getting it. That being our Star predictor sweating on 7 is Scrumlife Clap waiting for the result of SL v PL to get a full house. Generally speaking the rest went to form as was seen by the 5's & 6's  scored by the remainder. RDH & Patch not troubling the scorer. SL being the only game not played in this league. The game will no doubt be played at the earliest opportunity which won't be next week as PL have to play their postponed game next week v Newport (Salop).
The league looks thus.

Does anyone know the reason for SL game being called off was it the weather or player numbers?

I made the wet trek over to Liberty Way to see Nuns v Sheffield. Was a real game of two halves as the first 40 Nuns looked good on 14-6 lead with an intercept try. Second half though Sheffield upped their game and looked alot stronger and came out 24-14 winners.

Next up is Bournville at home so will get to see what the league leaders look like

South Leicesters twitter page says it was called off due to a waterlogged pitch

Waterlogged pitches according to SL twitter feed
Will be interesting to see if PL make the long trip to Newport this week?

It may depend on how the scouting has gone and who Andy brings back after the final Wink LOL

As Columbo always says "Just one more thing" I don't think there was anyone hanging on for the Newport S v PL result for a full house. Are we going to stick with the original predictions for week 5?

Whoever he brings back I don't think they'll make it to Newport for a 2.15 kick off on Saturday (not even in his private jet!!)
😅😅

Just a quick "shout out" for Peterborough Lions today. Turned up with 16 players, no-one to run the line and no Management/Committee support as far as I could tell (apologies if I've got that wrong)
Never gave up, came on a bus, given a few jugs, some excellent table dancing, stayed for a couple of hours and applauded out of the clubhouse when they left. The spirit of rugby is still alive and well - hope they enjoyed their visit to Newport!?
