Not sure what to make of this week’s fixtures as there are none that really jump out and grab you. Top 2 at home to 2 of the bottom 3 and a fair bit of mid table match ups, so not expect to see much change top or bottom after the weekend. Given the closeness of the mid table you can move from 8^th to 4^th with a win if the results go your way so a bit to play for there

Bedford 0 v Guernsey 5 - Barring an aversion to plastic from the Islanders.

Guildford 0 v Dorking 4 - Are Guildford building for another late season escape? This week might tell us, really tempted to flip this just for the sake of it.

100 5 v CS 0 - Of all the teams for the 100 to lose their BP streak to... Normal service to resume.

7Oaks 4 v 1 LIWG - The Oaks to squeak a close one in the mud.

Sidcup 4 v 1 Hertford - Sidcup to bounce back from a nightmarish trip to the south coast.

Tring 0 v TW 4 - Another one that could go either way. Are the alarm bells Tringing?

Wimbledon 4 - 0 Brighton - Brighton have toughened up defensively recently and the wet weather helps them to hold Wimbledon to three tries.

Bedford 0 v 5 Islanders, plastic will help the Islanders.
Guildford 0 v 4 Dorking, close one.
100 5 v 0 CSS, little slip last week with no BP back on form this.
7Oaks 4 v 1 LIWG, though call tight game.
Sidcup 4 v 1 Herts, that's if it's not too wet.
Tring 0 v 4 TW,not sure about this one.
Wimbledon 1 v 4 B'ton, after last weeks game anything is possible from the blues.

It gets trickier each week. Rain, mud and gloom will play a major role again. If we turn the clocks back an hour why on earth don't we make kick offs an our earlier from Nov until Feb.

Wimbledon v Brighton is kicking off at 2pm by agreement and with the blessing of the league for exactly this reason.

Bedford Athletic 1-5 GUERNSEY- Plastic pitch will aid Raiders to get BP and win on the road but not easy.

Guildford 0-5 DORKING- Despite their lowly position G's will make D's work in this derby game, but D's deserved more last week and played well in the mud.

ROCHFORD 100 5-0 Cs 1863- Did Rochford rest some players last week or just underestimate Brighton. Expect a different scoreline this week.

SEVENOAKS 4-1 Liwg- Oaks have settled in well and getting some decent results, whereas Geese are very much underperforming. Tough call.

Sidcup 1-4 HERTFORD- Cup usually difficult to beat at home but heavy defeat last week augurs caution, whereas Herts yet to reach their peak. Could grind out a win.

Tring 1-4 TUNBRIDGE WELLS- Have to go with consistent Twells against lacklustre Tring performances.

WIMBLEDON 5-0 Brighton- Dons will need to play better than last week whereas visitors have started their fight back, however dont expect Dons to relinquish their position.

Another tough week in heavy conditions. 5 Weeks to consolidate before the Christmas break. Good luck to all.

Bedford 0 - 5 Guernsey No real contest if Guernsey can get their top team out!

Guildford 0 - 4 Dorking Dorking 's very average team should prevail.

Rochford 5 - 0 CS Stags One result only.

Sevenoaks 4 - 1 LIWG I suspect I am being kind to the low flying Geese.

Sidcup 1 - 4 Hertford Here's my small surprise but let's face it Cup were completely thumped last week!

Tring 4 - 1 TWRFC This game is being played at Cow Lane so I will stick my neck out here too!

Wimbledon 5 - 0 Brighton If Brighton win this something quite extraordinary is happening down there!

Dorking played well last week in appalling conditions against the Leaders and expect them to be too strong for G's

Guildford 1-4 Dorking - Surprisingly close last week for G's but I think Dorking have too much for them

Rochford 5-0 Civil Service - The Civil Service won't fancy deepest darkest Essex

Sevenoaks 4-1 London Irish Amateur - Wild Geese at the wrong end but 7Oaks are solid especially at home

Sidcup 1-4 Hertford - Has the traditional Sidcup slide started already?

Tring 4-1 Tunbridge Wells - Going for the home team but will be close. Could easily go the other way

Wimbledon 5-0 Brighton - Surprise result, probably so far of the season last week for Brighton. I don't think the Dons will let that happen again

Bedford 0-5 Guernsey - Long trip for the Islanders but looking good and if the rain stays away it could be a free scoring game. If the Islanders stay over good luck in the evening and reminds me of an old anecdote right up their big tight head's street - 'After the game, one of the local rugby groupies took a shine to the burly prop. "Hiya big boy" she says as she glances down his body. "Tell me you're built in proportion all over?" "Listen lady, if I was built in proportion, I'd be 12 foot *cking tall!".'

Rochford 5-0 CS - Bring some beers for the bus home.
Sevenoaks 4-0 LIWG - Tough mudder. Sevenoaks to handle the rope climbs better.
Sidcup 4-0 Hertford - The one man and his dog won't enjoy this.
Tring 4-1 TW's - Tring will be hungry after their hiding last week.
Wimbledon 5-0 Brighton - The Wombles to keep rolling on.

Guildford 1-4 Dorking - Guildford did well to hold Rochford so closel last week and it's not beyond possibility that they spring a surprise here but on balance it has to be Dorking.

Rochford 5-0 CS - Ouch! Rochford far too professional.

Sevenoaks 4-1 Geese Could be close .

Sidcup 1-4 Hertford - Sidcup must have imploded last week.

Tring 4-1 Tunbridge Wells - Tring need this one badly.

Wimbledon 5-0 Brighton - It would take something quite extraordinary for there to be any other result here.

Congratulations to Stags. What a result for them.

Was anyone there? Stags stepped up, Rochford slipped back or a bit of both?

I posted earlier in the season that Rochford could struggle as even though we lost the first team game our second team won easily. Looking at the Essex league for second teams Rochford are second bottom having won only two games, which may suggest that they have not got sufficient strength in depth at this level if and when the injuries and drop outs occur. Just speculation on my part.
