Bridgnorth v Bournville HW Obviously game of the week. Not many teams go all season without a loss. Suspect North will be rev'ed up for this. Local spirit at home V galactico's could be interesting. Will be heavy going by the river.

Broadstreet v Sheffield AW Field should manage the trip south well.

Bromsgrove v Sandbach HW Grove good at home and Bach on a run of losses all be it to top teams

Burton v Peterborough Lions HW despite last weeks result cannot see a repeat although mud will also suit Lions portly pack!

Doncaster Phoenix v Paviors HW Paviors honeymoon start over long ago. Weekly grind now and difficult to see them upsetting the bird.

Kettering v Nuneaton AW Ditto for Kettering

Well as my learned friend says we need to do some good this week to make up for last weeks disaster Darhaling LOL

Bridgnorth v Bournville AW Struggled to make my mind up here, although 'North have only lost one game at home but to Sheffield so going with the Chocolatiers always assuming the game is on.
Broadstreet v Sheffield AW Broadstreet struggling this season and Sheffield appear to know how to win on this road this season. Game has been postponed.
Bromsgrove v Sandbach HW Who knows with the enigmatic Sandbach
Burton v Peterborough Lions AW Are the Lions going to escape?
Doncaster Phoenix v Paviors HW Phoenix to continue their winning ways
Kettering v Nuneaton AW Can Nuns return to form?

Tactical call off by BS? Cannot see why their pitch would be waterlogged. Maybe I am just a cynic!

Any postponement has to be ratified by a Society referee (very seldom is this by the official due to take charge of the game admittedly due to travel restraint) but even so I don't think any "tactics" involved. Big risk to make such a call - ask Ampthill from a few years back!

Does ratified mean actually inspected by the ref? Thought the DOR or senior official usually had a look. Anyway just surprised as there are plenty worse pitches across West Mids where games were played. Hey ho.

Yes it has to be inspected by a Society ref but not inconceivable that said ref (let's say Warwickshire Society) could be a member at the home club
DoR/Senior official would no doubt have a look but not in their power to call off although influence would doubtless be exerted if they thought it was in their interests (I am NOT suggesting this may have been the case yesterday!)

Morning guys, sorry for the tardy post, engaged in other duties yesterday including delivering cards and presents, saves trying to get down blocked chimneys tomorrow night LOL. Not a lot to talk about this week other than perhaps the false dawn at Lions last week. Probably the biggest stumbling block for many of us. Tight games at Doncaster Phoenix & Bromsgrove with a single score dividing the teams.
Star performers and top scorers this week and sweating on a full house are Thatbloke, Welsh Wonder and Both Clap Clap Clap. Only the Broadstreet to come on 22nd Feb. Stallion followed up a duck egg last week with a 2 this week Ouch. Thatbloke extends his lead at the top and with a possible +3 in the New Year could get him like Bourneville in an unassailable position. Our bottom 4 players seem to have given up on the league but I have left them on until the New Year just so as not to upset my friend HarveyMac who would find himself like his team the strongest league member. Wink I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
