Interesting but ultimately disappointing. Not sure what the intention was other than to showcase a few pictures.

No Bedford! The best ground outside the Premiership

But they have featured Bridgnorth under water, something I have seen as I have driven past on several occasions!

I might have liked to see Pandy Park, Cross Keys' ground.  That's in a pretty scenic setting with wooded valley sides above, and trains passing over a railway bridge to the north of the ground.

To sell a book I would have thought.

But it was a lot more interesting than around 99% of what appears in the media!

They are now in the process of building a club house on stilts at Bridgnorth....at least we can enjoy a few beers when the pitch is flooded!Wink

And no mention of the slope?

A minor mention of the slope, teams getting stuck at the bottom of the slope etc.

And sadly I cannot agree with that article at all. The ground is decent but not top 10 for sure, but hey horses for courses. And no I do not think Castle Park is top 10 either, although the facilities are miles better than most in the Championship. I do think Wharfedale at least earned an honourable mention.

Perhaps a case for pictures of sloping pitches similar to those in village cricket whereby boundary fielders are told the ball is coming their way 😎

New criteria for the Premiership?

"The capacity and status of stadiums played next to no part in the ranking of the grounds, with the top 10 being made up of grounds across the planet who have that certain ‘joie de vivre’ that makes a sporting occasion that bit more special.”

Nowhere, but nowhere came close to the bogs behind the Cowshed at Coundon Road.
Special place, that was...

Was it as fragrant as I imagine you must be implying?
