Does anyone have any clarity as to what the league structure for next season is likely to be?
I have a few questions to start the discussion?
Ideally, I would like firm answers - but have got used to not knowing what we are playing for - in league terms.

How large will the Premiership be? I assume it stays at 10?

How large will Championship / Premiership 2 be, 10,12 or 14
Which clubs will be invited. Will Wasps be resurrected?
Is there any chance of TV or sponsorship?
Will the RFU fund it?

What is happening to National 1 - will it be split in two?

If Nat 1 is split, how many divisions will there be in National 2?

Will we retain the Papa John Cup?

Rumour has it the re-organisation has been delayed by a year.

So the answer is No to clarity!!! It’s the RFU what do you expectπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

All the best

To decide how many teams will be in the Premiership and Championship next season you really need to know how many professional sides will still be in existence then.

My best guess is less than there are today.

But that won't help much!

The delay will be to allow Dalaglio to find someone with some money he can borrow as his leg ends seem to be short for the purchase of a franchise.

My last conversation was that there would be two Nat 1s North and South ,fed be four Nat 2s . East- South-West and North but size to be confirmed.
Which to my mind is back where we started from when we had two Nat 2s. All this will do is dilute the playing level yet again!!!
It is already putting clubs in financial difficulty trying to fund that next step up.
The last two seasons with only one team being promoted has effectively killed of any kind of promotion battle and is more like staving off relegation battle.
I really do not understand who makes these decisions πŸ˜•

The moneymen who want to keep their "big" clubs up clearly. Look how they manipulated the Championship to get Sarries back in as quickly as they could.
