You may or may not know this already, but Lady Bay is under several feet of water, much of which is from contaminated sources.

The clean-up will cost Nottingham RFC tens of thousands and to all intents and purposes, they do not have insurance cover because of previous flooding.

They have set up a Just Giving page in case anyone can spare a few quid.

Thanks Breakdown. I posted in a previous thread but I think it got lost a little.
I might add even if people cannot help if they can share the link as wide as possible that would be an enormous help too.
Thank you!!!

Are the pitch, clubhouse and training facility etc owned by Notts Rugby in their entirety, or do the council/local authority share some ownership/interest/responsibility?

The club should approach Notts County FC to host home games over the other side of the river in the short term, worth a go to at least keep some revenue coming in.

Aside from rearranging this game, they do not have another home game until Feb 23rd.
Welcome to the championship.

Part owned by Notts CC I believe. I did wonder if we might move back to Meadow Lane in the short term.

Well I'd hope that Notts CC will step up and contribute to the recovery plan then, financially or otherwise. It would be the right thing to do, given the place the rugby club plays in the city for those fans of the oval ball, not to mention those who rely on it for their employment. Good luck to you with it, hope it goes well.

Nottingham's website shows home friendlies against the Army later this month & Leicester Tigers in early Feb. Whether they'll be able to stage those, who knows? I wonder if Tigers might agree to play host for their game? A real blow when finances are - as at most if not all Champ clubs - tight...

A Tigers fan has suggested on social media that the Tigers game at least be moved to Welford Road, and that a share of proceeds are donated to Nottingham. There seems to be a fair bit of agreement so I hope that Tigers at least consider it.

Now gone over 18k. It was posted around this time yesterday so 18k in 24 hours is absolutely magnificent. The response has been amazing- from the young gentleman who donated his £2 pocket money up to the 1k donation from Peter Tom and his wife, every penny is going to be a massive help I’m sure- I can’t speak on behalf of the club but I think it goes without saying.
The club posted a message of thanks to everyone earlier also and they are grateful for everything.
