Whilst I admire your total commitment to Hav you are making some pretty wild accusations there Hav Tone.
You state they cancelled because they had players away and the pitch was fine based on your mates views.
I take it you will be making a formal complaint to the RFU. If not please rein it in a bit as publishing those sort of statements on here is poor form.

Wigwam
I am meeting Bill Beaumont on Tuesday for a curry and a beer and aim to issue a verbal complaint to him then...being Bill is higher placed than Bill Sweeney at the RFU i reckon going down that route will be the better way to go !

Not the way to go - if you are complaining it needs to be in writing as I'm sure you are well aware.

Hav Tone
You well know that Billy boy or Sweeney are not the route for a formal complaint. Either will refer you to the correct process I’m sure c
Anyway I would respectively suggest just winning the rearranged game should provide sufficient recompense to any feelings of being hard done by.

Some interesting results and match reports this week. Bracknell really hitting their straps and pushing up the ladder and the Brighton game providing some excitement

However repots from Welsh and Camberley show it was an edgy game with Camberley struggling to get themselves up for it and clung on in the end. Did you end up travelling Inside Man? Your opinion?

Friends of mine who were there say that LW lost it due to some woeful place kicking, something that's been bothering Welsh all season.

My honest reflections as a neutral from the London Welsh vs Camberley game. 1. I have only just managed to warm up from the weekend, it was bloody cold!

Welsh were the better side on the day, and must feel hard done by not taking the win. I thought their 10,12 and back 3 were magnificent and really capitalised on some loose kicking from Camberley. However the Camberley dominance of scrum, lineouts and maul kept them in it. Welsh had no answer for the Camberley scrum or maul and whenever they got a lineout within 10m you felt they could push Welsh over.

A really exciting final 10 minutes as Camberley defended their line with Welsh battering away. Camberley repelled them several times, with the Welsh driving game struggling against the big Camberley pack. Camberley struggled to exit their 22 and kept inviting the pressure back on! Unfortunately the clock was not in favour of Welsh and they ran out of time. 5 more minutes and you felt they were bound to score!

One of the Camberley players looked to pick up a nasty gash on his head, I was pretty close by and hope he was okay.

Overall a brilliant day out as always. I look forward to heading down to the return fixture later in the year!

So as we edge closer to the weekend, what are everyone’s predictions? I think…

Bournemouth-Bracknell (close game, but the Bracknell pack will eventually outweigh the Bournemouth boys)
Camberley-Maidenhead (another easy W for Maids over what appears to be a downward spiralling Camberley)
Hammersmith-Stags (Hammersmith to win it based on their exceptional 13)
Welsh-Horsham (Welsh will be fuming from losing to Camberley again last weekend so will be on the rampage for revenge this week. Welsh to win convincingly)
Tunbridge-Havant (Havant to pump Wells in the scrum after a warm weekend snuggled up by the fire last weekend)
Brighton-Marlborough (Toughest one to call this week but I think the Brighton 9/10 combo and backs will run the legs off of Marlborough and take the win)

What does everyone else think?

Bournemouth (0) vs Bracknell (5) - Bracknell to continue their performances of late and start putting a lot of pressure on the top 2
Camberley (5) vs Maidenhead (0) - Camberley should be able to get up for this after the reverse fixture and the sodden ground will play into their packs game play
Hammersmith (5) vs CS Stags (1) - Could be a high scoring game with Hammersmith putting themselves out of reach in second half with their attacking weapons
London Welsh (5) vs Horsham (0) - Welsh to get a big result here and dominate up front with their back three tearing up Horsham when they get space
Tunbridge Wells (2) vs Havant (4) - Game of the week and could go either way with Havant travelling a fair way with two weeks off. TW will be smarting from their performance last week but Havant to edge it in a physical affair where they show their resilience
Brighton (5) vs Marlborough (0) - The long trip to Brighton may be a bit too much for Marlborough as Brighton are always a lot stronger at home

Should be a very entertaining weekend and any upsets will of course make it very interesting come the Christmas break with the bottom 4 scrapping for every point already

By my reckoning, Havant will now have to play over seven consecutive weekends from the start of January (weather permitting).
EDIT - my mistake, there's a rest week in the middle.

We've had a *lot* of rain overnight and this morning.

I haven't been up but I saw photos on a friend's phone. Standing water on both pitch 1 & 2. We had home fixtures for 1s & 2s today. Both postponed.

Never good when home fixtures are bumped. It's no good in terms of piling up fixtures. It's not good for the bar and cafe.

It's not something we wanted to do, or that was done lightly.

London Welsh win big 61-12.
All but one conversions kicked this time, but still a couple of yellow cards.

That’s a huge result Stoatgobbler. Welsh are a strong team.

I Wonder if next week Welsh and TW move ahead of Havant?

Havant with the opportunity to slip to fourth if they dont dispatch Brighton in the friendly south coast rivalry.

Interesting we had Havant faithful at Brighton v. Marlborough today🧐 Marlborough got caught in traffic today, 5 hours on the coach getting to us & and then a late KO.
Good win for Brighton. Safe trip back Marlborough, good set of lads & supporters.

Quick straw-poll if I may. How much - if anything - do clubs in R1SC charge for admission to games?

Welsh charge £7:50, I think Bournemouth is similar, Maidenhead and Bracknell were both £5 last year.

Final week of rugby in 2023, how will teams fare?

Havant with a month since they last ran out.

Camberley vs in form Bracknell, who haven’t lost at home.

Welsh away at CS stags.

Could this weekend shape the league post Xmas?

Looks like another good week with some crunch games
Bracknell vs Camberley will be the game of the week and will be exceptionally close even a draw
Marlborough vs Bournemouth battling for points at the bottom to stay alive in the league
Havant will be back and will struggle in the lungs after so long away but form is temporary and class is permanent so find a way to win as always

I don't know what to make of Bracknell.  Six wins from six at home, five of them against teams in the bottom half and an admittedly impressive win over Tunbridge Wells two weeks ago.  But only one win in five on the road, albeit those four defeats have come against teams in the top half.

My Predictions for this weekend's games to end 2023 which hopefully provide some discussion over the break

Bracknell (2) vs Camberley (5) - Camberley back to same team after resting a few last week and Bracknell climbing the ladder at speed should provide the game of the week. High Scoring and entertaining game with Camberley to edge it but would not be surprised to see it go either way
CS Stags (0) vs London Welsh (5) - Impressive performance from London Welsh last weekend and this will continue but wont have it all their way
Havant (5) vs Brighton (1) - After some time off Havant to resume normal business against their bogey team but surely will get the job done at home
Horsham (1) vs Tunbridge Wells (5) - TW still smarting from the game against Bracknell and bring back the winning ways with Horsham fighting as they always do
Maidenhead (1) vs Hammersmith (4) - Hammersmith to edge a free flowing match with both teams very outside back orientated
Marlborough (4) vs Bournemouth (1) - The battle to stay up begins here potentially for both sides with Marlborough sneaking it in the last 10 minutes. Potentially a very tense match

Good luck to all this weekend with what looks like the Top 5 pulling away with the bottom 4 also already scrapping to avoid the drop

OK, I know now! Look like they're definite top four challengers.
