It begs the question why the Six Nations could not have done all this without the CVC investment and retained the 1/7th share and been in even more money going forward?

CVC will make money on this. I guess the 6 nations are planning they'll make more money on CVC's coat tails.
I worked in F1 during most of CVC's ownership. They were generally a silent partner getting the maximum bang for their buck. |

F1 had Bernie making good use of CVC's money. Rugby seems to be using it to pay off debt, as opposed to invest. But, obviously, I am not privy to precise details. I could be as wrong as the original article.

Not going to lie, when I opened my brother's copy before the England A game & saw the massive half page retraction article I cracked a big smile.
Hopefully they will try to be a touch more accurate with their "old man shouts at clouds" articles in future.
