I really want Wasps to pay their rugby creditors in full before they are allowed to play again - wherever that is. If that doesn't happen then the RFU will stand in contempt o=f its own rules IMHO.

It’s quite strange that Sevenoaks council are talking to wasps as from memory there was a battle royale when Sevenoaks RFC looked to relocate and was all shelved due to planning. Spare land in that area is like Rocking horse crap and is probably among the highest priced in the county so have reservations and will probably have Sarries & Quins as that’s their hunting ground

Just take a look at what's happening in Wales. The "Prem 2" will consist of 10 clubs, based on invites and not merit - just wait and see!

Presumably with an entrance fee payable to the RFU

Anybody got a rough idea on how much it could cost to construct a 10,001 capacity stadium in north-west Kent close to the M25?

One of the Wasps forums suggest it would be between 24-28,000 seater!

It would need to come ready filled with people as I doubt they will pull any more in than they did in Coventry, High Wycombe and uncle tom cobbley and all

What a waste of money! They won't find any support here. Kent is firmly Quins/Sarries territory and nowhere near the Wasps Wanderers "home" region(s). They will not be welcomed by the community clubs either that's for sure.

Except for maybe Sevenoaks, perhaps this might be a smokescreen for Wasps Wanderers to attempt a London South Africa/Wimbledon-style attempted take over of them? The RFU have seemed to have dropped their traditional opposition to that sort of thing when it happened to Quins taking over Aylesford Bulls Women, so it doesn't seem outside the realms of possibility in my opinion.

Parc Y Scarlets is about 15,000 and cost 23M in 2008.

Is there a newer small stadium? There must be but stadia are generally built bigger than that to be able to house other facilities.

Plough Lane in Wimbledon is just under 10,000 but that cost £34 million.

Cost of land is probably closer to Plough Lane but it’s where that land is. Other than farm land I cannot think where this would be and if it has planning permission you can be sure all the housing developers will be aware of it. Sevenoaks is one of the most expensive places in the SE for houses and land.Planning & public consultation will take at least 12 months (extra crossing to relieve pressure at Dartford has been ongoing for around 5 years). Then you are looking at 2-3years of construction. So I think you are looking around 5 years to complete Personally I think it’s a load of bull

Swanley could never be described as sevenoaks other than it falls in the same county council, the land is actually a lot closer to WPRFC than sevenoaks

It falls within Sevenoaks district council area. But as I said in my comment earlier (or in another thread), I can't imagine the South East London clubs will be happy about Franchise RFC turning up on their doorstep either.
