The MLOC has taken the Initiative in the Midlands and decreed all games at Level 5 and below have been postponed
Would seem sensible to me and save all this toing and froing between individual clubs

Not all games below level 7 in the Midlands have been postponed. I know of at least 2 in Leicestershire that are still on tomorrow and they're may well be more.

Unusual for an away team to cancel a fixture. Luffbra and Hoppers making  similar journeys. Pitch at Dale in great nick.

Been told by a friend who is mini and junior coach at a level 6 club that they have had an email from the RFU stating that all matches for this weekend should be cancelled due to the storm

Pitches may be playable but safety of travel between clubs is paramount in this type of weather, far better to play it safe and postpone rather that risk travelling long distances in storm conditions I would have thought. 
If Rugby is the game they play in Heaven ..... Why does it hurt like Hell when you retire?
