Assuming of course that the Lions tour goes ahead:

I'm prepared to be surprised if the tour goes ahead.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Itoje appointed as captain.
I think he’s 26, and Johnson was 27 when he captained the Lions in Australia

Can't see it being on Mike - all bad news for the game at the moment.

Why not? Assuming Gatland can get over his love affair with AWJ, would be an interesting choice to have Itoje as captain. I can certainly see him adapting to that mould.

If it goes ahead I would rather see someone with a lot more integrity than Itoje leading the team.

Not yet a "born leader" in my opinion. With Gatland in charge I think deep down we all know who it will be

I assume you mean Wyn-Jones - most would have Ryan and Itoje as the 2nd row so he wouldn't get in - you need to be nailed on 1st teamed to be captain.

But I suspect Gatland will still be picking him in 10 years time.

Well almost anyone.

Itoje is a vary intelligent player, who leads by example.

He also captained a successful England U-20 team.

Did Itoje not once captain the England Team too - not sure if it was a full blown international but I seem to recall seeing him do it.

I really dislike the jumping up and down and whooping at any turn over or mistake by the opposition. This is very much a Saracen thing but not for a captain of any team. He also has a high penalty count by that is primarily due to how competitive he is . He can certainly lead by example but stop the yelling and antics.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

A bit unfair to say this is a Saracen thing - they are but one of many sides who employ these tactics.

Other things that annoy me are

Standing on the mark to take a penalty then running 3 or 4 paces befor kicking it.

Players sarcastically patting opponents on the head when they do something wrong

Players yards offside at kick-offs

That's a good start. Add

Throwing the ball away or up-your-jumper shenanigans when free kick/penalty awarded.

Hookers standing with heels on the line when they throw in, but moving infield as they throw.

Scrum halves putting ball into 2nd row at scrums - might as well throw it straight to the number 10.

Another game another bunch of penalties given away by him.
14 penalties against England, 5 of them by him.
