I suspect they may wait until at least the semi-finalists are known, if not the finalists. I'm sure they have sounded several stadia out re possible venues, Twickenham likely to be one (probably Dublin and Paris?) I imagine they won't use Twickenham unless 1 of the finalists is English - wouldn't make sense to have thousands of foreigners travelling with hotels, assuming anyone can attend |

Good shout that, Raider. Another thing to consider is what each country has in place regarding travel restrictions nearer to the time of the actual finals taking place. Lots of things can still go wring between now and then - Australia are now seeing second lockdowns in certain cities, so this could well throw a spanner into everything if we see the same in Europe over the coming weeks. One thing is for sure, it won't get moved to Cardiff

Judging by the hotel prices in Mhazelnutille the decision took commercial interests into account.
At least flights from were still reasonable so Easyjet not involved! At my age I'd rather go anywhere other than Twickenham. The organisation last time I was there for a Euro final was really poor. Ive just been awarded my PhD in flight/ hotel re organisation ! |
